Former Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn, 26, who left the soap earlier this year, has pulled out of her role as Tinkerbell in a Peter Pan pantomime on doctor’s orders.
Taking to her Twitter, she apologised to those who had tickets to see her in the show.
In view of her 104,000 followers, she wrote: “Absolutely gutted but on doctors advice I’ve had to take the final week out of panto as I’m unwell… I’ve loved my time as Tinkerbell in Peter Pan @ABPtheatreshows.
“I’m so sorry to everyone who has booked tickets.. but you’ll still have a fab time with the rest of Peter Panto x.”
Many of the actress’ followers flocked to her page to send their well wishes.

It has been very emotional because we are playing out real events that are happening today.
“But, on that note, even throughout filming when it’s been really emotional and draining or whenever I got home and I felt a bit low, I just remember there are real people out there who are actually going through it, and that’s why we do it.
“We’re doing it to raise awareness and that’s what kind of kept me going about it all.”
Katie researched and listened to real life sufferer’s stories before taking on the role earlier this year.
