LoL fans don’t have long until the release of League of Legends Season 10, which is scheduled to kick off in less than 24-hours time.
Having launched the latest patch for LoL and provided a brand new cinematic to enjoy, it won’t be long until the 2020 Warriors Season begins.
Here’s what the LoL dev team wanted fans to know about the latest updates made to the game on the eve of Season 10:
“Welcome back, folks! Hope you had a wonderful holiday and are ready for more balance and League shenanigans in the big 2-0.
“We say hello to the big boss Sett this patch, as well as a huge update to Sylas, League’s other resident bad boy.
“His changes mainly focus on encouraging his role as a midlaner, while making sure players don’t lose out on that signature bruisery playstyle he’s known for.
“Other than that, we have some QoL changes for Vi, Kog’Maw, Kassadin, and Jax, as well as some cautious buffs to champions that have proven to be menaces in pro play in the past.
“And finally, we’re following up on our big support item changes during 9.23, tailoring them so that their users are encouraged to do more in the early game.”
The new patch was followed by the release of the new Warriors Season 2020 Cinematic for League of Legends, featuring 2WEI and Edda Hayes, which is available to view now on YouTube.
But how long do fans have to wait until they get started with ranked League of Legends 2020 action?
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS SEASON 10 START DATE AND TIME
League of Legends Season 10 is scheduled to begin on Friday, January 10, 2020.
Riot Games has now successfully made all the updates needed for the new ranked 2020 battles and it should be smooth sailing from here.
And we also now know the League of Legends Season 10 start time for January 2020.
While it doesn’t go into detail regarding each region, the latest news shared by Riot Games is that Season 2020 will kick off at 4am on January 10.
That should mean local time for everyone, unless Riot Games provide further information before things get started.
“Ranked 2020 begins on January 10, 4:00 AM! Prepare yourself for another year of competition, salt, joyous victories, and soul-crushing losses,” the message from Riot Games reads.
When preparing for the launch of Season 10, LoL gamers have been warned that Ranked will be reset to a point.
This won’t go as far as a full hard reset, with Player ranks being calculated via performances in the placement matches and League preseason.
So players should be prepared for plenty of tests when it comes to the waves of placement matches being planned.
A message from Season 9 explains: “You’ll get a provisional rank after your first placement game. Your provisional rank shows where you’ll start the climb and updates after each placement game.
“Provisional ranks are only visible to you until you complete placements. You can’t lose LP during placements, so your provisional rank can only go up. Wins earn accelerated LP and you skip through promos.
“After eight placement games in a position (ten games in Flex queue), you’ll get a starting rank. New accounts get seeded at the bottom of the ladder with a fresh opportunity to climb.”
More news could be shared regarding League of Legends Season 10 after servers go live on January 10, 2020.
