London horror: Police launch investigation as man and woman found dead

The two bodies were discovered in Dagenham yesterday afternoon. The woman in her 30s was found on Whalebone Lane South at 12.50pm yesterday. At 2.50pm, police discovered a man also in his 30s on Gosfield Road. Police now consider the two deaths to be linked. 



The police and London Amubalnce Service both attended the scene. 

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 12.50hrs on Saturday, August 8 to Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham to reports of a person found unresponsive.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service and a female – aged in her 30s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is being treated as suspicious.

“We are in the process of tracing and informing next of kin.”

The causes of death are not yet known but the police are not looking for any suspects. 

Away from the deaths in Dagenham, a man was attacked on Friday in north London.

The man, ages in his 20s was stabbed multiple times in the Seven Sisters area of north London. 

Police were called to Blackstock Road at 8.06pm on Friday. 

The victim was taken to a hospital in east London. 

No arrests have been made so far.

A spokesman for the Met Police said: “Police were called at 20:06hrs on Friday, 7 August to reports of an assault on Blackstock Road, N4.

“Officers attended and found a man, believed to be aged in his late 20s, suffering from stab injuries.

“They provided first aid prior to the arrival of the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

“The man has been taken to an east London hospital; we await an update on his condition.

“A crime scene remains in place.

“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.

“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference Cad 7733/7Aug.”
