The museum was busier than usual today due to children and parents being off for half term. The museum has since said it is back open, but has not said why people were told to leave at 3pm. A spokesman told Express.co.uk: “Shortly after 3pm o’clock today, the Science Museum was evacuated due to a small incident.

“This was investigated by the emergency services who were able to resolve the situation quickly.
