Long Lost Family fans in tears as man introduces his two dads in show firsy

Long Lost Family viewers grabbed for the tissues this evening as one searcher introduced his two fathers.

Marc Wolfe was adopted by a Jewish family as a baby and was determined to find out about his family history when his adoptive mother died when he was 16.

He was reunited with his birth mother Ester Howard on the ITV show 18 months ago and hosts Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell caught up with Marc this evening.

Marc, 49, admitted that he has struggled to form a bond with his birth mother Ester since the pair were reunited after almost 50 years apart.

Speaking about his lack of bond with Ester, Marc said: “Unfortunately we are still strangers. The distance doesn’t help.

“With Ester living on the other side of the world, the only communication is email. Can’t get a bond over email.

“I would have liked a good long relationship with Ester but it made me think there is more to the story.”

Marc’s underwhelming relationship with his mother spurred him on to track down his birth father.

Ester was able to give Long Lost Family researchers the name of Andrew’s birth dad, David Ledwith.

The father and son duo initially met in private before inviting the cameras along and have since stuck up a close bond.

They have a surprising amount in common, as they are both are ex-military, both like building things and both drive HGVs for a living.

Terry thanked David for giving him a son, while David thanks Terry for bringing Marc up.

Marc said: “It means everything that dad is here. To remind him as well that he hasn’t been replaced as he won’t be.
