Linda Robson bravely opened up about her mental health battle on today’s show, confessing she felt she had spoilt a Loose Women holiday.
Joining panellists Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter, the foursome discussed rapper Kanye West’s recent concerning tweets.
The 43-year-old rapper, who suffers from bipolar disorder, took to Twitter with a series of worrying tweets.
These saw him speaking out against his wife Kim Kardashian and mother in law Kris Jenner, witnessed by his 30million followers.
Speculating over the musician’s mental health, they asked: “When should you intervene to help a loved one?”
Reflecting on her own experience of mental health, Linda explained that she felt “guilty” for seeking help from her nearest and dearest.
Last year, Linda took a break from the show after suffering from anxiety, depression, and OCD following a bad reaction to certain medication.
The conversation began when Brenda explained that many who find themselves suffering from poor mental health feel too guilty to ask for help.
Kaye reached out to her, saying: “I have heard you Linda, saying that you felt guilty.”
Nodding her head, Linda replied: “Oh my God, I really did for what I put you lot through. First of all, you’re away for a jolly holiday.
“And then putting my family through that. And they had to go through that for a long time. I think that guilt takes a long time to leave you.
“I’ll always think, what did I do to them.
“I ruined their Christmas for them. I ruined this for them.”
Janet intervened, assuring Linda she was delighted to see her return to the Loose Women studios after taking some time off.
She said: “You didn’t, because you’ve come out the other side. When I saw you this morning, I said ‘Linda, you look fantastic’. You look rested, you look calm.”
Linda agreed: “I’m back to normal now. Call it normal!”
