Love Island CANCELLED: ITV sorry as coronavirus means show filming 'out of the question' 1

“What signal might it be sending out if we’re doing a show where everyone is crammed together slavering over each other, and the rest of the world is told not to go near anyone in the park?”

The ITV boss also shut down claims of UK locations being used as an alternative, saying it “wouldn’t be the same”.

The recent series of Love Island saw Laura Whitmore, 35, make her debut as she hosted the programme for the first time from South Africa.

Singer Paige Turley and her boyfriend Finley Tapp were voted the champions of the first-ever winter series.

Love Island is available to stream on Netflix and Britbox.
