Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has declared he only wants the right signings, rather than marquee arrivals, this summer. The Red Devils will turn their attention to the transfer window after their season ended with a 2-1 defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League on Sunday night. Jadon Sancho is their top target, while links to Saul Niguez and Jack Grealish remain ongoing.
Manchester United saw their hopes of Europa League glory ended by Sevilla on Sunday night.
The Red Devils took the lead through the brilliant Bruno Fernandes, who scored from the penalty spot after Marcus Rashford was fouled inside the area.
Sevilla pegged them back, however, with Suso equalising in the first half with a curling effort that sailed past David De Gea.
And they won the match courtesy of a late goal from Luuk de Jong.
Now, speaking after the game, Solskjaer has opened up on transfers – insisting he only wants the right players for his Old Trafford project.
“We are working to improve what we have. We’ve had spells with injuries. We’re always looking to improve the squad,” he said.
