Manchester United are lining up a £74million bid for Kalidou Koulibaly after Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis gave the move the green light

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will still have the financial power to buy the likes of Philippe Coutinho after the coronavirus crisis

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will make a decision on his future in June amid rumours he could leave Arsenal at the end of the season

Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool chances

Liverpool are unlikely to sign PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe this summer.

The Reds have been linked with the France international ahead of the summer transfer window.

It was claimed Mbappe could replace Sadio Mane at Anfield, with Real Madrid ready to pay £150m for the Liverpool forward.

However, according to the Athletic, Mbappe to Liverpool is highly unlikely.

They say the deal would cost around £300m – a fee Liverpool would not be willing to pay.

It’s also claimed Mane has no intention of leaving Liverpool this summer.

The Senegal international, who helped the Reds win the Champions League last season, is adored at Liverpool.

Neymar PSG exit discussed

Neymar’s father has reacted to rumours linking the Paris Saint-Germain star with a blockbuster return to La Liga.

Representatives of both Real Madrid and Barcelona flew to the French capital to negotiate a deal for the Brazilian last year.

The attacker attempted to force through a move last summer but the Ligue 1 outfit’s valuation was never met.

Both of the La Liga giants are expected to return for Neymar at the end of the season as a FIFA clause can allow him to leave for a fraction of the price.

Neymar Senior has been a closer advisor of the talented star since before his breakthrough years at Santos.

But the father insists he will not get too involved with Neymar’s decision on whether he will leave Paris once the coronavirus pandemic has passed.

”He is always the one who chooses which path to take,” Neymar Sr said.

“We only work administratively so that he has the best contract, putting him in the best home and having the best managing of his career.”

Jadon Sancho to Man Utd depends on one thing

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho will reportedly only move to Manchester United if they can guarantee Champions League football next season.

The Red Devils are currently outside of the qualification places as they trail fourth-placed Chelsea by three points.

There is still plenty of time for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to close the gap on the top four.

But if they miss out on Europe’s premier competition then they may also struggle to land their top transfer target.

The Athletic claim United would be ahead of Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona in the queue should they earn a spot in the Champions League.

However, the 20-year-old will snub a blockbuster £100million move to Old Trafford if they cannot deliver his one condition.

Man Utd readying £74m bid

Manchester United are lining up a stunning £74million bid for Kalidou Koulibaly after Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis gave the move the green light.

With Italy the epicentre of the European coronavirus crisis there are serious worries about how the future of Serie A football will pan out.

Italian publication La Repubblica claim Napoli rejected three bids of over £100m for their prized defender from Premier League clubs last summer.

But De Laurentiis wants Koulibaly’s £5.2m-a-year contract off the books to ease the financial burden on the club.

They could also recoup over 10 times what they paid for the 28-year-old as United are reportedly preparing to launch a £74m bid.

Chelsea £150m plan

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will still have the financial power to buy the likes of Philippe Coutinho following the coronavirus crisis, claims Spanish football expert Graham Hunter.

Hunter does not think Chelsea will be restricted in the transfer market as much as some clubs will be – but doesn’t necessarily think he’ll be rushing to complete a marquee signing.

“There are some clubs who aren’t automatically going to be affected by this crisis,” Hunter said on the Transfer Window podcast. “Clubs, for example Chelsea have utterly redrawn how they want to spend.

“But there’s no doubt Abramovich still has the power to wake up one morning and go ‘Nah, I’m interested again, there’s £150m’. I don’t think he will, Chelsea aren’t run like that at the moment.”

Arsenal transfer deadline

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will make a decision on his future in June amid rumours he could leave Arsenal at the end of the season. The Gunners are considering cashing in on their captain, who is out of contract in 2021.

Manchester United and Barcelona have been keeping tabs on the Gabon international’s situation as they are both in need of extra firepower.

It is thought Arsenal could drop their valuation of the 30-year-old to around £35million to avoid him walking away for free in 12 month’s time.

However, Spanish outlet Diario Madridista claim the striker will not make a decision on his future until June.

It is reported that date could change if the coronavirus pandemic is still causing issues with most of Europe’s top leagues.
