Harry Kane to Man Utd backed
Manchester United must go all out and sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane this summer, former Premier League ace Danny Murphy claims.
Murphy said: “Manchester United are closer to challenging for the Premier League title and Champions League than many people think.
“The final piece in the jigsaw is a world-class centre-forward. We know it and they know it. It is why they tried to sign Erling Haaland in January.
“If Harry Kane is available, even for a record price, United would be mad not to look a gift horse in the mouth.
“They are the richest club in England and, if there is ever a time to use that financial power, it would be to prise the best striker in the country away from Tottenham.
“Kane will guarantee United goals but will also get the best out of Marcus Rashford, who could play in his best position out wide and still come inside to score. Can you imagine Kane on the end of the creativity of Paul Pogba or Bruno Fernandes?”

Man Utd open Real Madrid talks
Manchester United are in talks with Jorge Mendes over a potential deal for Real Madrid attacking midfielder James Rodriguez.
The 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner looks set to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season after a miserable campaign. He has been limited to 13 appearances in all competitions due to a combination of injuries and poor form.
The next transfer window represents Real Madrid’s final opportunity to sell Rodriguez because his contract expires at the end of next season.
According to AS, Old Trafford officials have already held discussions with super agent Mendes over a potential deal.
A possible swap deal involving Paul Pogba, who looks set to quit the Red Devils, has been mooted.
Man City eyeing Aguero replacement
Manchester City are prepared to pay £97.5million to beat Chelsea and Barcelona to the signing of Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez.
The Citizens are on the hunt for a new long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero, and have apparently identified the Argentine as their ideal target.
The Argentine striker has scored 12 goals in 22 Serie A games for Inter Milan this season, and was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in January.
The La Liga leaders are expected to make another move to sign him this summer, and are said to be willing to trigger his release clause of £97.5m.
However, they will face competition, with City and Chelsea both keen.
According to The Sun, City will gladly pay the release clause due to Pep Guardiola’s admiration for the 22-year-old.
That could be a severe blow to Chelsea’s chances of signing the striker, due to their interest in Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho.

Harry Kane exit possible
Manchester United have been told by Tottenham Hotspur they can secure England captain Harry Kane this summer provided they break the world transfer record.
Tottenham are asking for £200million to part ways with their man, a fee which would eclipse the current world record paid by Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar, according to the Daily Mail.
The main reason for Levy changing his tune regarding Kane’s future is said to be fears over the club’s finances.
The Mail claims Spurs owe a staggering £637m on their new stadium, as well as £83m in backdated transfer fees.
And Kane selling for £200m would put a serious dent in that debt, and allow for the club to recover financially from the potential hit that voiding the season would have.

Man Utd could make four signings
Manchester United are ready to spend big this summer and the Red Devils have 14 players on their summer wishlist.
The Evening Standard say Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Matthijs de Ligt are top targets for United this summer.
Sancho is United’s top target and the Red Devils are the frontrunners to sign the England international, while Ed Woodward feels he can land Aston Villa’s Grealish for around £60m.
The Standard add that United are willing to go back in for Haaland if Dortmund opt to sell this summer.
As for De Ligt, the Red Devils have been keeping track of his progress at Juventus and could make a move for the defender this summer. It’s also believed Juve could use De Ligt in a swap deal to tempt United to give up Paul Pogba.

Philippe Coutinho to Chelsea update
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is waiting for club officials to sign off on a deal to sign Barcelona ace Philippe Coutinho.
The Blues are said to be leading the way to sign the wantaway Brazilian forward.
The Brazilian is eyeing a return to the Premier League, having failed to make an impact since his 2018 move from Liverpool.
And Chelsea are leading the way to sign him next summer, amid reports that they are willing to fork out to bring him in on loan.
According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Lampard is simply waiting on Stamford Bridge officials to sign off on the deal before they officially make their move.
Lampard is said to be determined to get the best out of the 27-year-old if he makes the switch to west London and is determined to make him his second signing after bringing in Hakim Ziyech from Ajax.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang told to quit Arsenal
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been urged to force a transfer away from Arsenal as the Gunners “don’t have the ambitions as high as some other clubs” in Europe.
The president of Gabon’s football association Pierre Alain Mounguengui said: “I don’t want to say that Arsenal aren’t ambitious, but Arsenal don’t have ambitions as high as some other clubs as far as Europe is concerned.
“So if Pierre could secure a contract with a more ambitious club, he’d definitely find his place there.
“On an individual level, we all consider him to be among the best players in the world, but the advice I give to him is to continue to work and to attract the attention of the biggest clubs and the most ambitious clubs.
“Aubameyang is a world-class player but for him, or anyone else in Europe who hasn’t won a major honour, football is a collective sport
“Right now, he’s at Arsenal, and he’s won nothing here, so it’s a collective failing.
“All Gabonese people see Aubameyang at this level, where he can now end his career at a major club and, above all, beyond individual trophies, to bring home a major competition.
“Auba has the habit of saying that if club honours could come, that wouldn’t be bad.
“But that he could also settle for the personal accolades he’s won. As I said, he’s a world-class player.”
Liverpool stance on Jadon Sancho deal
Liverpool are being priced out of a move for Jadon Sancho, with the Reds unwilling to meet Borussia Dortmund’s asking price.
According to Football Insider, Dortmund want an initial £88million for Sancho rising in excess of £100m.
It is claimed he is not considered a viable option for Liverpool, who already boast Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in their squad, to pursue in the next transfer window.
Football Insider add that Liverpool manager is a huge admirer of the 20-year-old and would be interested in adding him to his squad.
However, Dortmund’s asking price puts Manchester United in pole position to land the England international.
