Jadon Sancho to Man Utd exclusive
Manchester United are determined to complete a transfer for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho this summer. But the England winger will still cost over £100million despite the coronavirus crisis, University of Liverpool senior teacher and football finance expert Kieran Maguire claims.
Maguire exclusively told Express Sport: “You’ve got to look at it on a deal by deal basis.
“First of all Manchester United have a strong balance sheet, they had £100m in the bank at the end of December, I appreciate that since then they have signed Bruno Fernandes.
“But even so Manchester United are very successful, they’ve got great commercial revenue generation so I think they are in a strong position to buy then you’ve got to look at the individual position of the clubs that are selling.
“Dortmund, I think will be in a relatively strong position to resist offers, or resist the first offer.”

Chelsea £150m plan
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will still have the financial power to buy the likes of Philippe Coutinho following the coronavirus crisis, claims Spanish football expert Graham Hunter.
Hunter does not think Chelsea will be restricted in the transfer market as much as some clubs will be – but doesn’t necessarily think he’ll be rushing to complete a marquee signing.
“There are some clubs who aren’t automatically going to be affected by this crisis,” Hunter said on the Transfer Window podcast. “Clubs, for example Chelsea have utterly redrawn how they want to spend.
“But there’s no doubt Abramovich still has the power to wake up one morning and go ‘Nah, I’m interested again, there’s £150m’. I don’t think he will, Chelsea aren’t run like that at the moment.”

Arsenal urged to sell two stars to keep Aubameyang
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta knows it is going to be expensive to get Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign a new deal and the Spaniard has been urged to offload Shkodran Mustafi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to keep their top goalscorer.
Gunners hero Charlie Nicholas said: “You can get rid of Shkodran Mustafi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has been out on loan.
“This will all help to filter through, so there are easy things to do.
“Give him what he wants, get rid of dead wood, you have the kids, and it would not cost £200m to challenge for the top four once more.”

Man Utd’s Jadon Sancho offer
Manchester United have offered Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho a huge salary in order to bring him to Old Trafford. However, this was supposedly done before the coronavirus crisis.
And Dortmund are now planning to offer him a new contract in order to keep their wing wizard at the Westfalenstadion.
Manchester United pair Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward are both in agreement on Sancho.
They see the 20-year-old as a player capable of propelling them to plenty of silverware over the years, having watched him shine in Germany over the past three years.
Bild say United have offered the England international a massive salary in order to bring him to Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Dortmund haven’t given up on keeping the youngster at the Westfalenstadion – and are ready to give him a new contract.
Should Sancho decide to stay, it’s claimed Lucien Favre’s side intend to make him one of the highest-earners at the club.
They’re supposedly willing to offer Sancho an annual salary worth £9million a year in order to keep him.
Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal could sell their stars this summer
Chelsea have made an offer for Napoli and Belgium forward Dries Mertens, according to reports in Italy. The 32-year-old is out of contract in the summer and could move to the Premier League.
Corriere dello Sport claim Chelsea are determined to bring Mertens to Stamford Bridge and beat their rivals to his signature.
The reports claim Manchester United and Arsenal are ready to rival Frank Lampard in the race to sign the Napoli ace.
Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is also keen on Mertens who is the all-time top scorer for his current Serie A side.
Chelsea are desperate to strengthen their side this summer with Olivier Giroud, Pedro and Willian likely to leave the club.
Liverpool £52m agent talks
Liverpool are reportedly in talks with the agent of Marcelo Brozovic, according to the print edition of Libero.
The Croatian’s current release clause sits at £52m but Liverpool are unlikely to trigger that.
Instead they may try and prise him away from the San Siro for slightly cheaper, given that he has only two years remaining on his contract.
Brozovic made a huge impression at the 2018 World Cup and has established himself as one of the best central midfielders in Serie A in recent years.
