The President, Donald Trump, and his wife usually host an Easter Monday event each year where families are invited to celebrate the season on the grounds of the White House. It was cancelled this year due to the coronavirus outbreak and so The First Lady took to social media to honour the tradition while wearing a green long sleeve knee length shirt dress.
Mrs Trump chose to re-wear the linen Kelly green shirt dress by British label Cefinn with a vintage crocodile belt in the same colour.
Cefinn is a clothing label founded by the former British Prime Minister’s wife, Samantha Cameron and it retails at £295. The brand was set up 2017 after previously putting her career on hold while her husband was in frontline politics.
Melania was seen wearing this dress previously in 2017 as she visited an infant drug recovery centre.
For footwear, the former model selected a pair of pointed-toe, stiletto heeled pumps in an electric green.

While it is uncertain where the heels are from, it is reported that they are most likely to be Trump’s go to Manolo Blahnik BB pumps, which retail on Nordstrom for around $ 600.
The event is normally held on the South Lawn where tens of thousands of children and adults attend the event and it was due to be the Easter Egg Roll’s 142nd year.
In the video, she said: “Since we are not able to celebrate the traditional Easter Egg Roll on the grounds of the White House this year, I want to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy Easter, and read one of my favourite children’s books.”
In the four minute video, images of the book’s pages and illustrations appeared across the screen as Trump read the book in a voice over.

“I hope you’re able to enjoy this special holiday…Be sure to take care of yourselves and each other,” Melania said as she concluded the book.
Thousands of comments soon flooded in wishing the Trump’s a happy Easter.
One comment read: “Lots of symbolism, thank you First Lady for sharing this story on Easter.”
“Happy Easter to my favorite First Lady,” another commented.

The White House Easter Egg Roll officially dates to 1878, when Rutherford Hayes was President. The website said the tradition began when a group of children walked up to the White House gate, in the hope they could play egg-rolling games.
President Hayes told his guards that the children could enter, and soon Easter Monday on the White House grounds became an annual tradition.
The event has since evolved into a day full of activities, which in years past have included not only an egg hunt and a special visit from the Easter Bunny, but also musical performances, book readings and more.
It is now one of the largest events held at The White House open to the public and it has only been cancelled a handful of times including during both World Wars and during the White House renovation from 1948-1952.
Last year, Melania wore a baby blue Michael Kors coat that retailed for just under $ 5000 and she teamed this outfit with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin ballet flats.
She wore the same pastel blue shade in 2018, sporting a Burberry Sandringham cashmere trench and skinny black jeans. The First Lady paired the look with black knee-high boots set on a block heel.
For her first Easter Egg Roll in 2017, FLOTUS opted for a pastel pink dress by designer Hervé Pierre, matched with flats in the same shade.
President Trump’s wife is known to be a fan of a range of international’s designers, including Dolce and Gabbana, Valentino and Michael Kors.
Each year the White House Association sells official wooden eggs to commemorate the event. The design and colour of the eggs is overseen by The First Lady and the eggs feature the signatures of both Donald and Melania Trump.
Donald Trump also took to Twitter posting a short video where he urged Americans to bring the family together for Easter, despite the social distancing guidelines.
“We’ll be back together in churches right next to each other. Celebrate. Bring the family together like no other. We have a lot to be thankful for,” he said in the video.
