Michael Jackson 'alive' conspiracy sparked as lookalike moonwalks on treadmill

The outrageous conspiracy that Michael Jackson is alive has resurfaced after an uncanny lookalike was filmed moonwalking on a treadmill.

In the clip, uploaded onto TikTok by user @michael.jackton.official, a man who is the spitting image of the King of Pop during his “Dangerous” era in the 1990s, struts his stuff in a gym.

The impersonator – wearing MJ’s iconic white socks and black shoes combo with a sparkling jacket – performs a series of punches and jumps before beginning to dance on the moving treadmill.

He moonwalks backwards while throwing shapes energetically and even does the late superstar’s signature “crotch grab” and a high kick.

Some fans think this is the ‘real Michael Jackson’

Surprisingly, the professional lookalike used American rock band Weezer’s cover of Billie Jean rather than the original 1982 version by Michael Jackson himself.

Fans were convinced that the dancer was the “real” MJ and left a storm of posts declaring he was “alive” in the comments below the clip.

“YOU’RE STILL ALIVE!!!???” said one viewer.

“Hello Michael Jackson,” said a second.

Another baffled fan mused: “Is Michael alive or am I dreaming?”

“You not dead Michael,” commented a fourth.

“FBI finds Michael Jackson,” said another convinced believer.

But another fan pointed out that, if he really were alive somehow, Michael Jackson would have passed his 60th birthday and be not at all as spry as the young lookalike in the video.

‘MJ alive’ conspiracy

The Thriller and Smooth Criminal superstar died on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his Los Angeles mansion.

He died as a result of propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication and his personal doctor Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011 and served two years in prison.

Since MJ’s death, there has been a long-running conspiracy theory that he is alive and faked it in order to start afresh.

This latest “sighting” comes after conspiracy theorists were convinced they had spotted Michael Jackson moonwalking on Brooklyn Bridge.

He also allegedly turned up in Melbourne, Australia, when an MJ lookalike was caught on video moonwalking in a dazzling outfit.

Fans also went wild with the “Michael Jackson alive” theory when a coronavirus message was posted onto the late star’s official Twitter account.
