The wild conspiracy theory that Michael Jackson is alive still has its believers – as proven in a new video of a lookalike of the star performing a dance to “Beat It”.
In the clip, uploaded to TikTok by professional Jacko impersonator “Michael Jackton”, the snazzily-dressed performer lets rip some of his best moves.
He spins, kicks, moonwalks, and even does the notorious “crotch grab” dance move just like the Thriller artist himself.
The lookalike is even dressed just like his idol – in a black studded leather jacket, dark sunglasses, and the iconic black shoes with white socks combo that highlights his fancy footwork.
The video was uploaded onto TikTok by user @michaeljackton.official and has been “liked” more than 12,000 in just a week, although many viewers admit they are confused.
Some question whether Michael Jackson really is dead.
One such stumped viewer asked: “Are you still alive?”
While other commentators rushed to explain that the clip is of an impersonator, some repeated the conspiracy theory.
“Woah everybody thinks you are dead but you are alive,” commented a stunned viewer.
“But wasn’t he dead?” said a baffled commentator.
Some people joked the impersonator could be his “twin” and many others couldn’t believe that the two were not even remotely related despite their similarity in appearance, style, and dancing.
“Is this his brother?” said a confused fan.
This is not the first time “Michael Jackton” and other MJ impersonators have triggered fans to question if the late star really is dead.
A lookalike moonwalking in Melbourne, Australia, recently sent conspiracy theorists wild, with many claiming it as “proof” MJ was still alive.
Meanwhile, a man who was almost the spitting image of the superstar rocked up in New York City to do a moonwalk on Brooklyn Bridge.
“Is that really Jackson?” said a befuddled fan.
“He was not dead? I do not understand anything,” commented a second viewer.
“Imagine this was really Michael Jackson doing TikToks,” joked another.
