The sporting icon suffered head injuries after hitting his head on a rock after falling when skiing in the French Alps on December 29, 2013. But the true state of his health has been kept under close guard for the past five years, with millions of his fans begging for an update on his condition. Michael Schumacher has not been seen in public since, and details about his recovery have been extremely rare.
But during an interview with the She’s Mercedes magazine, wife Corinna broke her silence on the reason for this silence.
She assured fans her husband is in the “best hands” but that it is Schumacher’s “desire to keep his health a secret”.
Corinna said: “He is in the best of hands right now and we are doing everything we can to help him. You can be sure.
“Try to understand that we follow Michael’s desire to keep his health a secret.”

“I’d like to know how he’s doing and shake hands or stroke his face.
“But unfortunately, this is rejected by Corinna.
