Michelle Mone opened up about her weight loss journey on Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women.
The entrepreneur, who sold her lingerie brand Ultimo in 2004, revealed she has managed to lose eight stone after ditching her fast food habit, which saw her eat McDonald’s three times a day.
Speaking via video chat from her holiday home in the Isle of Man, she recalled advice shared to her by model Rachel Hunter, who told her to “treat her body like a business”.
During the interview, the millionaire shared her tips on the secrets behind the weight loss, but many viewers felt her advice wasn’t for everyone because she’s splashed the cash on top professionals to help achieve her slimmer look.
Speak to the panelists, she said: “I started to understand my body – I’m the fittest I’ve ever been.
“I got recognised as my daughter’s sister the other day when we were out in London before lockdown,” she chipped in.
Michelle, who was a size 22, has dropped down to a size ten, and shared the secrets behind her svelte figure.
She added: “I’ve hired a nutritionist, and I’ve hired a personal trainer who have been with me for the past year.”
However, viewers soon slammed the businesswoman for her unobtainable advice as many pointed out people haven’t got the money to invest in their own personal nutritionist.
One wrote: “Great advice there from Tory multi-millionaire Michelle Mone on how to lose weight. Build a private gym. Hire a personal nutritionist and hire a personal trainer. It’s all so easy.
“Isn’t Michelle Mone lucky to be able to afford a PT and a nutritionist, and all the healthy food that goes with it. She looks really good and best wishes to her,” a second wrote.
While a third chipped in: “It’s ok for all these celebs like Michelle Mone on Loose Women talking about weight loss but most of us mere mortals cant afford nutritionists, personal trainers etc, and we don’t have money for gym equipment.
Elsewhere in the interview, Michelle revealed she exercises three times a day alongside her fiancé and the pair have their own at-home gym they use.
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12:30pm.
