This handy tip will allow you to easily recycle a single-use Launch Pad with minimal set up.
Arena Trios was recently added to Fortnite and has quickly become the go-to playlist for many players. Whilst we don’t know what new mobility items will be introduced in Season 3, it seems likely that Launch Pads will still play a big part in those mid to late game rotations.
If you can avoid being randomly hit with the incredibly frustrating glider bug or beamed out of the sky, Launch Pads are a fantastic way to quickly get your team from A to B. Therefore, it is always useful to have some pro padding tricks up your sleeve.
One strategy that has become increasingly popular over the last few months sees players build a ramp directly above them just before placing the Launch Pad in order to fly off at a lower trajectory. The issue with this move in Trios is that your teammates will not be able to reuse the pad without first breaking your ramp.
How to get onto solo low pads from r/FortniteCompetitive
Luckily for us, Reddit user u/xXZoxXx shared a simple solution to this problem in the r/FortniteCompetitive subreddit. Check out the video above to see how it is done, if you can’t see it, follow these instructions:
Head towards the Launch Pad from the opposite direction the ramp was placed
Build a floor piece connecting to the floor with the pad.
Edit the floor in half by selecting the two right tiles
Walk along the elevated part of the floor onto the Launch Pad
This technique is very easy to learn and will work even in the most laggy of end games. It will let your whole team quickly use a low pad or even recycle one that an enemy has placed. Give it a try next time you find yourself in a sticky situation and see if it helps.
