Naga Munchetty: BBC star shuts down online 'harassment' from troll 'Stop following me'

Naga Munchetty, 45, had the last laugh before taking the final step to prevent a Twitter troll from insulting her again. The BBC Breakfast host is known for her no-nonsense protocol and it appeared she had finally had enough of the unwarranted backlash from one user in particular.

Twitter can be a testing place for those in the public eye; Naga’s co-star Carol Kirkwood recently spoke out about how she deals with “nasty” comments that reach her online.

But unlike Carol’s approach to simply ignore the person and remark, Naga went in a different direction – one where she gets the last, and some may add, satisfying say.

As fans of the BBC presenter know, she is a keen golfer and likes to share her favourite past-time on her social media accounts.

Her followers admire her competitiveness and keenness to be the best she can be, but one user felt differently.

“Naga, I am so proud of you, and you represent what we need to be proud of in the UK. You will always have heaters, but to be sure to know that MORE people love and appreciate your insight, knowledge and great charisma. I love watching you on BBC, great!” one wrote.

Another said: Personally, I love your golf exploits and you have been a huge influence to get women interested in the game.”

Her co-host Dan Walker, was also among those who weren’t impressed with Paul’s comments.
