The latest NBA 2K20 update has been released today and is available to download now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Weighing in at less than 1GB, it makes for a much smaller update than in the past but could still hold some interesting changes. This could also mean that the days of 20GB+ downloads are now behind us and gamers can get used to much smaller launches from now on.

The patch has been live for several hours and 2K has yet to share official patch notes covering what was included.

These are usually shared within the 24-hours of a new patch going live and are expected to be made available on 2K’s social media platforms.

This can include Facebook, Reddit and Twitter, although there have been times in the past where notes have not been released.

The most recent patch notes were shared on April 7, so there is a good chance something will be revealed by 2K in the coming hours.

Bug fixes are already being flagged by the NBA 2K community but until we have an official confirmation, it’s hard to say exactly what has changed.

What we do know is that 2K recently launched a way for gamers to earn access to buy an IRL version of the LeBron 17 ‘Bron 2K Playoffs’ GE Sneakers.

This can be done by winning a MyPLAYER Nation playoff game and includes both a digital version and the above mentioned real-life versions.

A message from 2K adds: “Between April 18, 2020 at 07:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) and 11:59:59 p.m. PT on April 23, 2020 (“Offer Window”), you can earn the opportunity to purchase the Sneaker, while supplies of Sneaker lasts, and/or receive a digital version of the Sneaker in-game if you play and win your next MyPLAYER Nation Playoff game in NBA 2K20 to unlock the right to purchase the Sneaker during the Offer Window (“Qualification Requirements”).

“If you meet the Qualification Requirements, as determined by 2K in its absolute discretion, and there are supplies of Sneakers still available, you will receive a splash screen in-game instructing you to link your Nike SNKR & 2K accounts to purchase the Sneaker at NBA2K.com/Nike.

“After linking your accounts, you must launch the SNKR mobile app. Instructions for purchasing the Sneaker will be provided in your inbox within the app.

“If you complete the Qualification Requirements within the Offer Window, regardless of whether you choose to purchase the Sneaker, you will also receive a digital version of the Sneaker in-game, which will be added to your MyPLAYER closest.”

NBA 2K20 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
