The changes have seen prices dramatically fall for some of the most popular electric cars on the market including city runarounds and sportscars.
However, experts at Octopus Electric Vehicles have revealed the Tesla Model 3 has been the most popular vehicle purchased under the scheme.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Fiona Howarth, CEO of Octopus Electric Vehicles claimed Tesla’s innovation is mimicking what Apple did with the mobile phone market years before.
She said: “Due to the incredible savings of the Go Green Car Scheme, we are seeing a heightened interest in the Tesla Model 3.
“Tesla is doing to the EV market what Apple did to phones: innovating in every aspect of driving.
