ADRIAN — Charlene Li, a New York Times best-selling author of six books, including her newest book release titled “The Disruption Mindset: Why Some Businesses Transform While Others Fail,” will be participating in a broadcast event as sponsored by the Adrian College chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight, in Jones Hall, Room 110. This live stream broadcast will be the fourth installment of the 2019-2020 multi-speaker series as sponsored by the NSLS.
The series, which reached more than 740 college campuses each month throughout the academic year, is designed to support the NSLS’s overall mission of “Building Leaders Who Make a Better World.”
Questions will be answered during the live broadcast. The live stream broadcast will take place from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. It is free and open to the community.
Li is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Business School. She has more than 20 years of experience in tech and business and has been an advisor to Fortune 500 companies on digital transformation and leadership, and was named Fast Company magazine as one of the most creative people in business. She resides in San Fransisco.
In her latest book, Li suggests that to be competitive, it is no longer enough to be innovative, there must be a strategy for disruptive growth, a plan to identify and seize an opportunity no one else has the audacity or confidence to attempt. She will discuss how leaders must show up differently when pursuing a disruption strategy with the goal of creating things the result in huge, positive change.
