First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was left frustrated as Sky News’ Kay Burley paused their coronavirus interview to try and speak with Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab. While speaking outside No.10, Ms Kay Burley asked Mr Raab whether he had any words for the public regarding lockdown this weekend. Mr Raab refused to answer the question and continued into No.10.

Ms Burley apologised to the First Minister and continued with the interview.
Ms Burley said: “Mr Raab clearly not offering us any views on lockdown.
“But I am sure in time we will hear in more detail about figures in England and the rest of the United Kingdom.
“Forgive me for interrupting you Ms Sturgeon, you were talking about why you had decided to change the way the death coronavirus figures were calculated and announced in

Ms Sturgeon replied: “Before the interruption, I was setting out how we haven’t so much changed but expanded the way we report coronavirus deaths.
“We have moved from just reporting deaths with our confirmed laboratory diagnosis to also include the numbers of death in a community, where there has not been a test to confirm it but a doctor has put on the death certificate that the virus is likely to have been a factor.
“So that gives us a truer picture of the number of deaths.
“We will be reporting that wider figure on a weekly basis, I should say that this is also happening now in England.”
