Nintendo news – Switch games blow amid Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 Direct rumours
Nintendo Switch fans look to have been delivered a blow about one of the most popular titles on the hit hybrid console.
The Nintendo Switch has an enviable selection of exclusive games, which it has incredibly accumulated in the space of just two and a half years.
From Super Mario Odyssey, to Zelda Breath of the Wild, to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, to Fire Emblem Three Houses – the list goes on and on.
One of the biggest Nintendo Switch exclusives so far is Super Smash Bros Ultimate – the latest entry in Ninty’s hugely popular beat ‘em up series.
Smash Bros Ultimate has seen its character roster extend via the Fighters Pass, with new DLC characters getting added to the Switch title.
The next DLC character, Fatal Fury and King of Fighters’ Terry Bogard, was expected to hit Smash Bros Ultimate around the start of November.
A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but in a blow to fans it looks like the SNK and Neo Geo icon could be arriving in Smash later than thought.
Reliable leaker Sabi has been tweeting about when Terry could hit Smash Bros Ultimate.
Sabi was the leaker that revealed plenty of E3 2019 announcements before they officially went live.
And tweets from @new_wabisabi suggest that Terry could be arriving in Smash in the second half of November, later than originally anticipated.
On Saturday Sabi tweeted: “Tomorrow we’re going to have a very good idea of when Terry releases.
“It all depends on if his 7/11 ad goes up tomorrow, or in two weeks.”

They later added: “Note I’m not saying terry releasing tomorrow, I’m saying if his 7/11 ad goes up tomorrow it’ll be good news as hero and banjo released within the 14-day span they were up.”
Sabi then quoted a tweet from @PushDustIn which showed Terry didn’t feature in the latest ads at the 7/11 convenience stores in Japan.
Responding to the news @New_WabiSabi tweeted: “Oof. It’s very plausible now that Terry isn’t until after the 17th, in the later half of the month. His ad isn’t up yet.”
Terry Bogard is the fourth character in Fighters Pass 1, with one more DLC character for Smash Bros set to be revealed.
Nintendo news – A November 2019 Nintendo Direct is rumoured to be taking place
It’s likely the final Smash Bros character will get revealed in an upcoming Direct, with rumours about a incoming Direct being circulated.
Anonymous posters on notorious internet message board 4chan have been busy making big claims about an upcoming Direct.
It’s been claimed that the House of Mario are preparing a Nintendo Direct for November 2019.
It’s rumoured that a new Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 trailer will debut in this Direct, with a holiday 2020 release date being announced.
However, as with all rumours it’s best to take them with a huge dollop of salt – especially since these 4chan posts make some very eye-catching claims.
One alleged ‘leak’ said the rumoured Nintendo Direct will announce a Switch Pro console, with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 coming to it.
It also claimed that the Nintendo Direct will announce GTA 6 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
This all seems very…fanciful, to say the least – so the veracity of this supposed “leak” seems highly doubtful.
Nintendo news – Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 is one of the most highly anticipated Switch titles
But an upcoming Nintendo Direct does seem possible, especially with the final Smash DLC character yet to be revealed and the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield launch.
Potentially Nintendo could hold a new Direct in the run-up to Pokemon Switch’s launch, where more may be revealed on Game Freak’s latest.
Maybe those supposed recently leaked Pokemon starter evolutions will get confirmed during the upcoming Direct?
