OnePlus 8 released TODAY: Why Samsung, Huawei and iPhone owners get a big reason to switch

OnePlus announced the launch of its OnePlus 8 range last week during an event which was live-streamed across the globe. Now the Chinese firm is letting its army of loyal fans get their hands on these new devices with sales going live from 10am today, April 21.

Those wanting a OnePlus 8 or more premium OnePlus 8 Pro will be able to head to a number of online stores to place their order with OnePlus joined by Three Mobile, John Lewis and Amazon.

Prices for the OnePlus 8 start from £599 with the Pro model costing £799 – that’s not exactly cheap but OnePlus is offering an incentive aimed at enticing owners of rival phones to make the switch to its latest and greatest devices.

Right now, those with a Samsung, Huawei, Sony or Apple smartphone can hand it over and claim an extra £50 on its original trade-in value.

This means those with an iPhone 11 in their pocket can currently get £570 (£520 + £50 bonus) towards a new OnePlus 8 Pro.

If you happen to have a P30 Pro or Galaxy S10 in your pocket you can get £220 (£170 + £50 bonus) if you trade it in.

You can find out what your phone is worth via the OnePlus website.

Along with that deal there’s also a number of other incentives with Three Mobile and John Lewis both offering fans a free pair of Bullets Wireless 2 headphones worth £99.

Three will also upgrade those wanting a OnePlus from the 128GB model to the bigger 256GB version for free.

If any of these deals sound interesting then there’s certainly plenty of reasons to consider the upgrade with the OnePlus 8 series featuring some hefty updates.

Both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are 5G-compatible, so you’ll be able to take advantage of the fastest mobile speeds around.
