The much loved presenter responded to two fans who expressed their concerns on the micro-blogging site.
One This Morning fan wrote: “@thismorning please tell me that the papers are lying about replacing @Schofe and @hollywills #prayforthem.
“This would surely be the WORST decision ever to make.”
Phillip replied: “What do you think?” alongside crying with laugher emojis.
Another commented: “@Schofe please please don’t say that you and Holly are leaving this morning?”
“Course not,” he replied alongside more crying with laughter emojis.
Holly and Phil have been fronting the show together since 2009 when the former stepped in as Fern Britton’s replacement.
Presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford also host the show every Friday and during half-term holidays.
Last month, it was reported that Phil and Holly could be replaced in light of the global conversation around the Black Lives Matter movement.
According to the Mail on Sunday, the pair’s editor Martin Frizell is looking to diversify the hosting line-up and would like to welcome a black presenter onto the show.
Martin joined the show back in 2015 after working on Loose Women.
He recently said the team has been closer then ever throughout the coronavirus pandemic, despite a sudden change to their show.
Speaking on the Media Masters podcast, he said: “We’re more of a team now than we have ever been.”
On keeping the show on air during lockdown, he added: “If Holly and Phil are not there, you’d start to worry, like, ‘What’s going on? Why are they not there?’
“To stay on air, and quite rightly so, we had to take some dramatic measures to stay on air.
“80 per cent of my team are working from home. We’ve gone from five cameras to three cameras in the studio,” he added.
Martin went on to say presenters Holly and Phil and Eamonn and Ruth have been driving themselves into work and getting themselves ready for the shows.
“I’ve seen Holly in her wardrobe, which is empty now, steaming her own dress.
“They drive themselves into work, so just cutting down [on] contact with anyone. They put their own microphones on,” he divulged.
This Morning continues today at 10am on ITV.
