Phillip Schofield returned to presenting Dancing on Ice alongside Holly Willoughby, after after introducing the judges, one of them wanted to tell the praise Phillip for bravery after explaining to the world his true sexuality. But ever the professional, Phillip didn’t want the ITV competition to be focused on him.
Earlier this week, Phillip sat on the This Morning sofa, the opposite side to usual and had a heartfelt discussion with Holly about his sexuality.
Viewers tuned in to hear him explain how he was in fact gay, despite being married to his wife for the last 27 years.
Following this admission, he appeared on Dancing on Ice to present the competition and judge Ashley Banjo felt it was an opportune moment to publicly praise Phillip.
“Phil it’s been a big week always been a legend never more so than this week,” Ashley told him.
