Piers Morgan, 55, has issued a cheeky retort about a “decision” regarding his return to his hosting role on Good Morning Britain while he is away from the ITV programme on holiday in Saint Tropez. The presenter couldn’t resist firing a warning shot to GMB bosses when the show’s official Twitter account posted a poll to ask whether employees or their bosses should be the ones to decide on if they return to the office after the coronavirus lockdown.
The poll asked GMB’s 764,000 Twitter followers: “Should you or your boss decide if you return to the office?”
Piers then retweeted the post in view of his 7.6 million followers and mischievously replied: “I should.”
He went on to continue the joke when journalist Benjamin Cook edited the poll to include Piers’ name as one of the options and wrote: “That’s bound to be a vote-winner.”
After the outspoken television personality spotted the post, he quipped: “Haha I just noticed the slight problem..”

Piers Morgan responded to a poll from GMB about returning to work
Fans joined Piers in the comments section of his post to share their thoughts on his tweet.
One person wrote: “I personally think it should be the employee’s choice if they return to the office or not. As long as they can still work from home and if they feel at risk returning to work then I don’t see why they should be refused that option!”
Another added: “In your case Piers I think the TV watching public should decide for you but I have a sneaking suspicion that you would not like the result!!”
A third person argued: “Been there every day you were supposed to be. Because good journalism in this nightmare is vital.”

Piers Morgan hinted he may leave GMB next year
“Your boss might not agree Piers,” a fourth Twitter user commented.
It comes after Piers threatened to leave GMB during a conversation with his co-host Susanna Reid on-air.
The star remarked that he will “possibly” move on from his hosting duties next year.
While informing viewers about their upcoming holiday, Piers said: “We have two more days left, then you’ll all be glad to see the back of us.”

Susanna quickly clarified: “For now! Whenever you say we’re off and we’re leaving…”
Piers jokingly chimed: “Morgan quits! Good riddance!”
He then insisted: “This is not forever, we’ll be back in September.”
The presenter then read out a letter from a viewer who had sent in paintings of the two hosts with a note, which said: “I thought I heard you state you’re leaving at the end of the year.
Piers explained in response: “I’m not… Leaving next year… Possibly.”
Susanna then laughed and quipped: “Contract negotiations underway.”
However, Piers previously told The Sun’s TV Magazine that he has signed a contract to stay with GMB until 2021.
He divulged at the time: “I’ve just signed a new contract up for GMB until the end of next year.
“I love working with Susanna and the team – we’re a Ying Yang that works.”
