Sony has announced what new games are now available to play on PS Now as part of the big July 2020 update.
The good news is that there are three new PS4 games that can be streamed on PlayStation consoles and PC.
The downside is that one very big title has now been removed, meaning that PS Now subscribers can no longer enjoy Marvel’s Spider-Man.
Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of the best-reviewed first-party games to be made available on PlayStation Now.
But it’s not the only major title made available by Sony on PS Now, although no new first-party game has arrived in July.
Instead, PlayStation Now gamers can enjoy Watch Dogs 2, Street Fighter V and Hello Neighbor.
It’s also the first month where Sony has launched two big games alongside a top Indie game, as part of its future content plans.
This is part of its new PlayStation Indies Initiative, with Shuhei Yoshida, Head of PlayStation Indies, confirming earlier this month:
“The indie community is increasingly important for the future of the video game industry, as AAA game development has grown so financially demanding that big companies are finding it harder to take risks to invest in new concepts that may or may not work.
“We trust indie developers with strong vision will continue to bring ideas that have never been tried before, creating whole new genres of games and advancing the art and meaning of video games. PlayStation has always embraced games with completely new concepts, like PaRappa the Rapper, Katamari Damacy, LittleBigPlanet, and Journey, and we look forward to seeing what surprising new ideas will come next!
“While details are still forthcoming, we are also happy to confirm a new indie title will join the PlayStation Now service every month, starting with Hello Neighbor in July. Please look out for our monthly PS Now posts for more information.”
So PS Now gamers can expect more Indie games made part of the lineup each month from now on.
