PS Plus February free game news
The official PS Plus free games for February 2020 will be released onto the PlayStation Store in the coming days. But before that happens, PS4 console owners have the chance to try out another free game beta, and look over the final PlayStation Plus sales of January. As many fans will have found out during the week, the new PS Plus games for next month will be released on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.
These include BioShock: The Collection, The Sims 4, and Firewall Zero Hour, which requires a PlayStation VR headset to play.
Regardless of what hardware you have, these will all be available to download for free next month.
It technically means that PS Plus gamers can enjoy five new games as part of their PS4 Plus subscription in February.
And as a 2020 total, there have so far been two collections, including six games, and another three on top of those.
Gamers still have time to download all of these titles, as long as they log on once before February 4, and once after.
And before that happens, there’s another free beta to check out this weekend. Disintegration is a new sci-fi first-person shooter launching later this year.
And the team over at V1 Interactive are currently putting the game through its paces using open beta sessions.
V1 has confirmed that the Open Technical Beta is available to download via the PlayStation Store and will be running until February 2 in the UK.
The Disintegration open beta is scheduled to end at midnight in the United States and at 8am, GMT, in the UK.
A message from V1 Interactive adds: “The multiplayer game pits you against other players in up to 5v5 matches with you and your individual squads on the ground.
“The unique game modes, blending aerial combat and squad commands across several different modes and maps, are sure to test not only your shooter skills but also your tactical approach on the battlefield.
“Disintegration’s Technical Beta will include two maps and two different modes. You can also choose between seven different crews each with their own weapons, abilities, and role in combat.”
So even if none of the current and future PS Plus games tickles your fancy, there are a few other options to check out this weekend.
Another bonus for having an active PS Plus membership besides downloading free games each month is the discounts offered.
There are currently six titles that have been reduced in price, and they can all be found on the PlayStation Plus tab on your console.
They include Cities Skylines, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, Slime Rancher, Blasphemous, Indivisible and The Bradwell Conspiracy.
They’re part of a wider PlayStation Store sale that’s available in Europe until February 4, 2020.
For a limited time, PS4 owners can save money on a wide range of titles, including Bethesda’s Fallout 4, Codemasters’ F1 2018, and Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2.
