PS Plus May 2020 free PS4 game reveal: When will new PlayStation Plus games be announced?

PS Plus subscribers are waiting for Sony to reveal the May 2020 free PS4 games.

And fortunately there’s not long to wait, because the free PlayStation Plus games are coming soon.

Failing a last minute State of Play event, the May 2020 PlayStation Plus free games will be revealed at 4.30pm on April 29.

The PS Plus freebies will be available to download less than a week later on May 5.

Needless to say, there’s a good chance the free PS4 games will leak early, so keep checking back for updates.

With the next wave of PS Plus games a fortnight away, subscribers have extra time to download the April 2020 free games.

And it’s a fantastic month to be a PS Plus subscriber, because the current games include Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally 2.0.

The highlight is obviously Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which has a Metacritic score of 93%.

“Every Treasure Has its Price,” reads the official Uncharted 4 description. “Thrown back into the dangerous underworld he’d tried to leave behind, Nathan Drake must decide what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.

“Join Drake, Sam, Elena and Sully on an epic adventure around the globe, through jungle isles, bustling cities and snow-capped peaks in search of a lost fortune.”

Dirt Rally 2.0 fares almost as well, scoring an impressive 84% on Metacritic.

“DiRT Rally 2.0 dares you to carve your way through a selection of iconic rally locations from across the globe, in the most powerful off-road vehicles ever made, knowing that the smallest mistake could end your stage,” reads the official description.

As an added bonus, PS4 owners can also download Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey for free.

It’s all part of Sony’s Stay at Home initiative, which encourages PS4 owners to isolate in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.

“People all over the world are doing the right thing by staying home to help contain the spread of COVID-19,” reads a Sony post.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone practicing physical distancing and take our responsibility as a home entertainment platform seriously, so we are asking our community to continue supporting the safe choice and the need to Play At Home.

“As a thank you to all who are doing their part to lessen the impact of this pandemic, Sony Interactive Entertainment is pleased to announce the Play At Home initiative.”
