This week, gamers will want to make sure that they have checked their digital libraries before several PS4 and PS Vita games are removed from the PSN.
Sony has a good track record of keeping the PlayStation Store up to date with free demos and the latest releases.
But in a reversal that doesn’t happen often on the PSN, five games will be disappearing from the collection, one of them being a well-reviewed PS4 game.
The other four are available on the PS Vita, although it’s unclear if these same titles will be affected on the PlayStation 4 as well.
As confirmed by publisher NIS America earlier this week, a select number of games from the Danganronpa series will be removed from the PSN in the coming weeks and months.
This is happening over several months, meaning some games will remain available for long.
The one that will be available the longest is Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, which will disappear on September 25, 2020.
This is the one marked as the Danganronpa title available on the PS4, although all those who have purchased the affected titles will keep them in their digital libraries.
A message from NIS America explains: “Select Danganronpa titles on the PlayStation Store will no longer be available for purchase from NIS America. Please refer to the dates listed for more information on when each title will no longer be available.
“We want to thank all of our Ultimate Fans who have joined us for many exciting years of mysteries, deadly puzzles, and unforgettable characters.
“In regards to concerns about Danganronpa games, we would like to clarify that you will retain ownership of the purchased content.”
