Queen and Adam Lambert cover Elvis, Led Zeppelin: WATCH Brian May’s stunning guitar solos
Last night, Queen and Adam Lambert rocked the Adelaide Oval in Australia. And once again the band surprised fans with covers they’ve previously played on the Oceania leg of their Rhapsody world tour. The trio treated the audience to renditions of both Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love and Elvis Presley’s Heartbreak Hotel.
Brian May posted videos clips of his stunning guitar solos during the covers, shot from backstage on his iPhone.
The 72-year-old wrote of the Led Zeppelin rendition: “More fun at the Adelaide Oval tonight !
“Here I’m doin’ my best Jimmy Page … the genius Zeppelin riff-maker is a constant inspiration. Vid by Pete on my trusty iPhone.
“Thanks folks for indulging us !!! It was windy – it was cold – but it was rockin’ !!! Bri.”

He added on the Elvis cover video: “And some heart-felt wailin’ in the Heartbreak Hotel … BRI.”
Before performing at Adelaide Oval last night, May posted a video of the sound check at the cricket ground.
The rock star was really quite shocked by the sheer size of the venue and how windy it was there.
He wrote: “Good Grief ! They get bigger and bigger !”
May added: ”Things have taken a turn I never expected.
“Bit of a wind ? Perhaps that is tonight’s special challenge !
“Well, time to give it our ALL !!!
“G’Day Adelaide Oval !!! Let’s rock !!! BRI.”

Commenting on the size of the venue, May said in a video: “My god it does make you wonder. Kind of insane!
“It’s a lot different from the Marquee Club.
“So here we are for the penultimate show in Australia. We’re still here.”
While in another video showing fans backstage at the sound check he added how they were “Trying to reach out to every single person”.
Queen and Adam Lambert have just one more show to go on the Oceania leg of their Rhapsody world tour.
The final concert takes place at Gold Coast’s Metricon Stadium on February 29.
Brian May, Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert will then take a two-month break before kicking off the UK and Europe leg of their Rhapsody tour.
The trio hit the UK in June with 10 dates at London’s O2, two at Manchester Arena and a couple at Arena Birmingham.
