Rachel Riley, 34, made the most of the sunshine yesterday by heading out for a walk in the park with her three-month-old baby daughter.
The TV star, who found fame on Channel 4 quiz show Countdown, was celebrating her first Mother’s Day as a mum after welcoming Maven Aria into the world in December.
Sharing a picture and two videos from her sunny outing online, Rachel opened up about the amount of people out and about who were not following the government’s rules on social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.
In one snap, which Rachel shared with her 474,000 Instagram followers, the new mum could be seen holding the adorable tot in her arms and posing for a picture.
The Countdown star was suitably dressed for the sunny, but chilly, spring outing in a dark jacket, pink hat, patterned gloves and a pair of trendy round sunglasses.
Maven – who Rachel shares with her husband, former Strictly star Pasha Kovalev, 40 – was wrapped up in a cosy coat and matching grey hat.
Video footage which then followed, showed baby Mave asleep in her pram as her mum watched the wildlife in a pond nearby.
She captioned the post: “Mother’s Day cuddles in the park, complete with brand new baby goslings!”
Rachel went on to say: “Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mums, grannies and aunties celebrating today from a distance.”
She added: “Unfortunately, just like they said on the news, loads of people gathering in groups for jollies today in the park.
“Very depressing to see so many people ignoring advice and putting themselves and others at risk.
“Hope people start listening and behave more responsibly or sadly the parks will have to close too,” the TV star warned.
