During an interview with Channel 4, Plaid Cymru’s leader Adam Price was forced to defend his new Brexit stance. Channel 4’s Andy Davies savaged the Welsh leader over his comments last month in which Mr Prince insisted Brexit was a “hope-crushing wrecking ball”, the leader has since issued a new more positive message on Brexit. Mr Price has now claimed Brexit will provide new flexibilities and freedoms.
Mr Davies said: “Only last month you were calling Brexit a hope-crushing wrecking ball.
“Now you’re saying it’s something that offers new flexibilities, freedoms and opportunities.
“It’s quite a U-turn this?”
Mr Price replied: “Well, unfortunately, the die is cast, isn’t it.

“Much as I may regret the outcome of the general election, we have to accept that the political landscape has changed and as a result of that, the economic landscape is going to change as well.
“What we’ve got to do now is seek to make the best out of that new situation.
“That is about minimising and mitigating some of the downside risks, so in terms of the trade relationships, trade agreements, we need Wales’ voice to be heard.
“This is in terms of our key sectors – agriculture, manufacturing et cetera.
