Dave and Stormzy are high profile British rappers that both claimed prestigious prizes at the BRIT Awards 2020. The London Mayor clashed with Conservative London Assembly member Susan Hall following his comments. Ms Hall unleashed a scathing attack on Mr Khan’s record on knife crime and labelled it “an absolute disgrace” leaving him visibly stunned.
Mr Khan said: “I’d rather invest in future Daves and Stormzys than future victims of crime.”
Ms Hall replied: “If you think putting money into like Dave is a good idea then well done you but you are not spending the correct money in sporting out the crime on our streets.
“If you were we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in now.
“If you put your money where your mouth was we would not be in the situation we are now.”

Sadiq Khan was blasted for the comments Susan Hall
“As it is we’ve got youngsters out there being murdered all the time on our streets.
“We’ve got knife crime out of control and you talk to me about Dave and Stormzy.
“It’s an absolute disgrace Mr Mayor.”
This is not the first time Mr Khan and Ms Hall have been involved in a fierce clash at the London Assembly.
Earlier this month Mr Khan was brutally slammed by Ms Hall for “blaming others” for the failures in tackling crime in London.
Ms Hall said: “All you do Mr Mayor is blame the Government for everything.
“You have an £18billion budget!
“You could have put money into any of these areas earlier but you spend all your time criticising others.

Susan Hall unleashed a scathing attack on Sadiq Khan’s record on crime
“My simple point and I’ll leave it there is the fact that you know that crime has been really bad for the last four years.
“You have not diverted your considerable budget towards it.
“All you are happy to do is blame others.”
Sadiq Khan has been Mayor of London since 2016 and will have to fight to secure another four-year term in the London mayoral elections in May this year.
