New Year’s Eve has arrived and the party season is in full swing around the world. Whether you’re celebrating at a party or at home this year, chances are your New Year countdown will include singing Auld Lang Syne when the clock strikes midnight.
Most shops will operate reduced opening hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
So you could head to the shops only to find the doors locked and the store in darkness.
And this includes Sainsbury’s – so it’s best to check what time your local shop opens.
Luckily for you, express.co.ukis on hand with the latest shopping opening hours guide.
On Wednesday, January 2, shops will open 6am to 10pm.
Most Sainsbury’s stores will then return to their normal opening hours from January 3, 2020.
For those of you looking to grab a bargain this New Year’s Day, the official line from Sainsbury’s is that the timing of yellow-sticker discounts is “completely store dependent”.
So if you want to bag a cut-price dinner, it is worth starting to scan for yellow stickers around lunchtime.
