Security camera films 'ghosts' lurking in empty house after motion's detected

A man alerted to movement on his security camera while away from home believes he has filmed “ghosts” in his living room.

The home owner, known as Jonesy Jones on YouTube, said he received a notification from the security camera app stating “motion detected in living room”.

In the 10-second clip recorded on the Canary camera, two strips of foggy air appear to be “floating” from the ceiling across the living room down towards the sofa before disappearing in the light.

Jonesy also shared the footage on Reddit and said the unexplained white air “moved in unison”.

He also said: “I don’t know about you, but this is the closest thing I’ve ever seen actually captured on video of the afterlife.”

Some viewers found it spooky and called the paranormal activity a “Casper sighting”.

One Reddit user wrote: “Looks like a ghost moving across the room. Anything else weird been happening?”

Another one commented: “It’s a real life Casper!”

A third agreed and said: “Casper sighting.”

One viewer asked if someone in the house was vaping.

“It moves like a plume of smoke, and if you look closely, you can see what looks like smoke filling the left side of the screen,” they said.

“It looks as if someone just lit up a cigarette or started vaping.”

Jonesy did not answer on that but he said he had to leave the house in a rush.

Other viewers believed the white trail is something more explainable, like a cobweb or a spray of air freshener.

A user said: “Sure looked like a spiders web to me, right side is attached to the wall or the ceiling and the left side fell down, so it swept across. Close to the lens, so out of focus.”

“Looks like his Glade air freshener went off to me,” another one wrote.
