She Dies Tomorrow director opens up on 'anxiety' which fuelled COVID-style horror film

Despite how much she tried, Seimetz explained, she felt as if she wasn’t getting across how she was feeling – whilst also spreading her anxiety on to her confidants.

Personal anxieties were just the start of it, though, as the perpetual, cyclical news game also wormed its way into her head.

“I was kind of fascinated, horrified, and also subject to, the way that news spreads really rapidly in these headlines.

“Whether you’re right, left, centre, it’s usually these headlines – these easily digestible thoughts that spread.
