Simon Cowell, 60, is the genius behind some of the biggest TV shows including The X Factor and Britains Got Talent. He also founded Syco Entertainment, a music and television company. It has been revealed that Simon is one of the top UK celebrity business moguls, what is his net worth?



According to Celebrity Net Worth, Simon Cowell is worth a whopping £460million.

The site also revealed that he could have a salary of £73million.

Simon recently joined Victoria Beckham in a global league table cataloging the money each celebrity makes from their businesses.

The pair are joint 12th in the table, with an estimated earning of £34million each in revenue from their companies.

With a successful career spanning more than 30 years, Simon started out as a runner on horror film The Shining. 

He then went to work for his father who was an executive at EMI Music Publishing before working his way up at the company and leaving to form his own label, E&S Music.

However it was singing duo Robson & Jerome who made Simon his first million, after he had the pair record Unchained Melody which was number one for seven weeks and the pair went on to sell seven million albums.

In 2001, Cowell became a judge on the British television reality show known as Pop Idol and he later moved on to judge American idol.

Simon signed both Will Young and Gareth Gates after the competition ended. 

He is also the name behind One Direction, Olly Mrs, Fifth Harmony and Noah Cyrus. 

He used his newest record label Syco, as a platform to release records from the later seen on its sister company, Syco TV, which produces The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent. 

In 2004 and again in 2010, Simon was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.

Despite his staggering fortune, Cowell also does a lot of charity work including raising money for the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in London as well as pledging £1.3million to help charities survive in the coronavirus pandemic. 

In 2010, the music mogul stepped away from his record label to focus on other projects. 

Earlier this year, it was reported that Cowell was in the talks with Netflix to create talent competitions for the online streaming giant. 

He also announced that he would be writing a seven-book series with his son Eric which are scheduled to be released within the next two years.

On the book news, Cowell said: “To be able to write a series of books with my son Eric has been magical. 

“This idea was inspired three years ago by a very special friend of ours who runs a children’s hospice charity. I told her one evening about some of the funny animals my son Eric and I would invent, starting with the Cog and the Dat. 

“And how every evening the two of us would think of the most unlikely animal we would like to have as a pet. 

“We would come up with some very strange new animals and the naming of the animals was Eric’s favourite thing.”

Simon also invests his money into property across the globe where he spends time with his family. 

In 2017 he purchased a £19million beachfront home in Malibu whilst also owning a £15million mansion in Wimbledon and a stunning home in Holland Park, London where other celebrities also live.
