Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier 3 purse, salaries: How much money will they make at UFC 252? 1

Two of the most accomplished heavyweight fighters in UFC history will leave it all in the octagon at UFC 252 — and make a lot of money doing it.

Stipe Miocic (19-3, 15 KOs) and Daniel Cormier (22-1-2, 10 KOs) will face off for the third and (presumably) final time on Saturday, not only for the heavyweight belt and ultimate bragging rights over the other, but also for a sizeable payday that reflects their status as two of the biggest names in the sport.

Both fighters have made at least $ 1 million off the other over their previous two fights, and it stands to reason they will do so one more time at UFC 252. Miocic and Cormier both have wins against the other heading into this trilogy bout, both of which came in exciting fashion: Cormier defeated Miocic via first-round knockout in UFC 226 to take his championship belt, but Miocic returned the favor in UFC 241 via fourth-round TKO.

Stipe Miocic’s career record

The reigning champion enters his UFC 252 bout against Cormier with a 19-3 record. Fifteen of Miocic’s 19 wins have come via knockout: 79 percent. His other four victories (against Joey Beltran, Roy Nelson, Gabriel Gonzaga and Francis Ngannou) were all unanimous decisions. His three losses have come against Stefan Struve (TKO) in September 2012; Junior dos Santos (UD) in December 2014; and Cormier (KO) in July 2018. Of his losses, only the one to Struve remains unavenged: Miocic beat both dos Santos and Cormier in rematches by TKO.

Daniel Cormier’s career record

Cormier enters UFC 252 with a similarly impressive record, at 22-1-2. While Cormier doesn’t have as many knockouts (10) as Miocic, he does have five submissions to his record; he also has seven decisions to his name, six of them unanimous. Cormier has only lost to two fighters in his 11-year UFC career: Twice to Jon Jones (UD) and once to Miocic (TKO). The second of Cormier’s losses to Jones, however, was ruled a no contest after Jones tested positive for an anabolic steroid following the fight. Cormier, who lost the light heavyweight belt after that loss, was later reinstated as champion.
