As armed officers with helicopter support moved in the Met Police tweeted: “A man has been shot by armed officers in Streatham. At this stage it is believed a number of people have been stabbed. The circumstances are being assessed; the incident has been declared as terrorist-related.”

The man stabbed two people before police moved in and shot him outside a Boots chemist.
Met Police tweeted to confirm the knifeman was killed: “We can confirm that the man shot by police at around 2pm today in #Streatham High Road has been pronounced dead.”

In a separate tweet the Metropolitan Police said: “We believe there are two injured victims. We await updates on their conditions.
“The scene has been fully contained. We will issue more information when possible.”
Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted: “Thank you to all emergency services responding to the incident in Streatham, which the police have now declared as terrorism-related.
“My thoughts are with the injured and all those affected.”
