Strictly Come Dancing fans finally know the official 2020 pairings for the hit dancing show.

In a specially pre-recorded live show BBC bosses announced each of the 12 celebrity pairings.

Keen keep the show on air, producers have come up with an intricate plan to ensure social distancing guidelines are abided by at all times.

As well as the judges now sitting at their own tables, the professional dancers had been isolating together so they could film the pre-recorded group dances which will be aired throughout the series.

Meanwhile, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman have to remain two meters apart at all times and are not allowed to touch each other or the contestants.

Despite being paired with 2019 champ Oti Mabuse, bookies are already tipping comedian Bill Bailey as the first celeb to be given the boot from the show.

The 55-year-old has revealed he hopes to bring rock music to the dance floor.

Bill said: “The musical director, David Arch, I know, and we’ve worked together on a number of occasions.

“So that aspect of it as well, I’m really excited to get involved in some way, in that idea of arranging music that perhaps you would not necessarily associate with the show, but from different genres.”

Nicola Adams and Katya Jones are Strictly’s first ever same sex couple

2020 makes the first time Strictly have a same-sex couple dancing on the shoe.

Sports star Nicola Adams has been paired with Katya Jones.

Speaking about wanting to bag the same-sex coupling, Katya said: “I would love to dance with a woman on the show.

“I think creatively it would be really ­interesting and I love coming up with new ideas for stuff.

“So on that side I think it would be quite interesting.”

Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice will be dancing together

Good Morning Britain host Ranvir Singh has been paired up with Italian dancer Giovanni Pernice.

Ranvir, 43, has admitted she doesn’t fancy her chances of success on the show, despite the strong coupling.

“I’m worried about doing a full time job at GMB, and then doing all the training,” Ranvir said.

“I think the stamina and tiredness might be the biggest thing to deal with for me.”

Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing is hoping it’s second time lucky.

The reality TV star and McVities heir famously was forced to pull out of Strictly 2019 at the last minute after injuring himself during the pre-recorded show last year.

Speaking ahead of this year’s show, Jamie instead he is back to full health and determined to make his mum proud – something he says he is yet to achieve.

Max George with Dianne Buswell have been paired together for Strictly 2020

The Wanted frontman Max George has been paired up with Joe Sugg’s girlfriend Dianne Buswell.

Dianne previously reached the Strictly Come Dancing final in 2018 when she was paired with YouTuber Joe.

Talking about signing up to the content, Max couldn’t resist taking a cheeky dig at his former bandmate Jay McGuiness.

Max said “Buzzing to be on Strictly this year.

“Not really one for the dance floor, but I take a lot of comfort in the fact that Jay McGuiness set The Wanted’s bar so low.”

Maisie Smith and Gorka Marquez have been tipped for Strictly glory

EastEnders babe Maisie Smith has been paired with Gorka Marquez.

The soap star is already the bookies favourite to win the whole competition.

Maisie, 19, recently joked she things dancing on TikTok during lockdown will help her take home the Glitterball Trophy.

The actress has played Tiffany Butcher in Albert Square since she was just 6-years-old.

JJ Chalmers and Amy Dowden will take to the dance floor together when the live shows kick off next week

TV presenter JJ Chalmers will be taking to the dance floor with Amy Dowden.

The former Royal Marine Commando revealed in his Strictly VT how being blown up in Afghanistan put life into perspective for him.

During the explosion, Chalmers lost two of his fingers and suffered multiple injuries to his elbow and face.

Luba will no doubt be hoping being coupled with Jason Bell will help her improve on her performance last year.

In 2019 she became the first professional dancer to be eliminated after she and James Cracknell failed to impress the judges or the nation in week one.

Jacqui Smith has been paired with Anton Du Beke

Former Labour Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has been paired with Anton Du Beke.

The move has been criticised by some who have accused the BBC of being ‘predictable’ with the pairing.

Anton is often paired with older dancers, something that annoys many Strictly fans.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain earlier this week, Jacqui insists that her dancing has come on loads in the past few weeks though says she is in agony from the long rehearsals.

HRVY has been paired with Janette Manrara

Teen heartthrob and YouTube sensation HRVY has been paired with Aljaž’s wife Janette Manrara.

While HRVY is said to be back on top form earlier this month he sparked concern after testing positive for coronavirus.

The cheeky chap says he sees EastEnders actress Maisie as his biggest competition.

Clara says she is nervous about performing sexy dances on the BBC show

BBC radio presenter Clara Amfo has been paired with Aljaž Škorjanec.

The Radio 1 star, 36, admits she’s nervous about having to perform racy moves in front of the nation and her mum.

Clara said: “If I get the chance to rhumba, I know she’s going to feel a way about it.

“It can go one of two ways, because the rational side of her will understand that it’s just a dance.

“The rhumba is very sensual, it’s different to other dances, where there’s a franticness to a Charleston, or a salsa or a samba… The rhumba is basically saying like, this is sex.”

Caroline Quentin is worried she will suffer from stage fright

Caroline Quentin will be dancing with Johannes Radebe.

The comedy actress admits she’s terrified she will suffer stage fright when it comes to the live shows.

The 60-year-old said: “It really takes me quite a long time to get rid of the shakes and I can get quite nauseous. So that might be a hurdle.”
