Betting firm Ladbrokes has issued its latest odds, which show the public are getting behind her leaving her post by the end of 2020. Rumours are circulating that she could be in her last days as leader of the SNP. And now, Ladbrokes says it has slashed odds to 11/10 that she will resign.
In a statement, the bookies said: “With rumours swelling that Scotland’s First Minister is to resign, the bookies make Sturgeon 11/10 to have left her post before the end of 2020, however it is odds-on at 4/6 she is still in charge.
“As and when Sturgeon does depart, it’s Angus Robertson who is the 4/1 to replace her as FM, or there’s 6/1 on offer for John Swinney (6/1) and Kate Forbes (6/1).“
Ms Sturgeon has been SNP leader since 2014.
She is the first woman to ever hold the position of leader.

Another parent, who saw their son rejected from Edinburgh University’s medical school despite top marks, said: “Stop making out to the electorate that SNP are securing our kids’ futures when you certainly are not.”
At present, SNP ministers fund a small number of Scottish and EU places at university.
This allows affordable university tuition.

They wrote: “I am absolutely appalled that a child with the grades my son has and the drive since primary school to be a doctor to be told ‘sorry, it doesn’t matter how well you’ve done, we can’t give you a place’,” the letter said.
“I have always told my kids that you work hard and reap the rewards, (it) seems I was wrong.”
