The brand new series of Supernanny USA begins tonight, with expert Jo Frost helping families deal with badly-behaved children.
Jo last graced UK television screens in 2008, with the US version of the television show continuing until 2011.
Daily Star Online has an exclusive clip ahead of tonight’s first episode on E4.
The video sees Frost attempt to help a struggling father deal with his young son’s tantrum, as she gives tips on resolving the situation in a calm manner.
Jo explains in the clip: “When a child’s having a tantrum, no parent can stop it when it’s at its peak, but there are a few tips that CJ can use to at least get through it more calmly and hopefully shorten them eventually.
“Keeping on task and knowing as a parent when not to react, helps you not to feed into those tantrums, and when kids feel that disconnect it can be all it takes just to dissipate it. “
Jo appeared on Lorraine earlier today, with the media personality telling Christine Lampard all about the new series.
She revealed that sometimes things turned frosty on the show, as she got “kicked out several times” of family homes as parents turned “aggressive”.
Jo explained: “It was a journey with respect to travelling around America and helping these families because it wasn’t always easy.
“I can think of several times I was actually kicked out of the house. They didn’t want me there. They got very hostile and aggressive and asked me to leave.
“The truth can be very painful for a lot of families, yet it does set you free if you can surrender to the process.”
Jo continued discussing the new episodes, saying: “We’re looking at families who have older children as well now.
“If you think about the first run of Supernanny, predominantly, it dealt with young children whose behaviour was naughty.
“The Supernanny that you’re going to see is about the whole family, with kids of all different types of ages.”
Supernanny USA airs tonight at 9pm on E4.
