‘Capable and independent’: Kate Middleton shows ‘decisiveness’ by wearing £20,000 ring

Kate Middleton has worn all types of jewels ranging from royal tiaras to simple necklaces. The wife of Prince William has been seen wearing a pricey gold ring that is not part of the Royal Family collection.

Aside from the jewels with a lot of royal significance, the Duchess has other rings which appear to be from her private collection.

This includes a citrine stone ring which could cost a huge sum of money, Ben Johnson Managing Director at Miltons Diamonds claimed.

“The ring looks like a very large citrine stone to me,” he said.

“Judging by the size of it could be worth anything from £5,000 up to £20,000.”

DON’T MISS

The mother-of-three has donned the ring for a number of events in recent years.

However, it may have been in her rotation well before she married Prince William.

Ben continued: “Media reports have suggested that this ring is a new addition to the Duchess of Cambridge’s collection, but there is proof she owned it already, as she was photographed wearing it on a night out with Pippa in 2008.

“If the Duchess did own this prior to her marriage, perhaps she has rekindled a love for her own pieces.

“It is widely claimed that the citrine crystal emanates optimism and can be used to direct personal will and decisiveness.

“This would explain the motivation behind Kate’s decision to wear it on occasions when she is not accompanied by the Duke of Cambridge, attending events on her own terms.

“She is an experienced royal now, capable and independent.”

The royal line of succession – who outranks who?

The line of succession to the British throne dictates the order in which each member of the Royal Family would ascend to the throne.

It is also seen as a ranking of importance with the head of the line, the Queen, taking the place of ruler.

Older children come before younger children. Traditionally boys came before girls, but this law was changed on March 26, 2015 before the birth of Prince William’s first child.

Incredibly, Catholics are still excluded from the line of succession, as are children born outside of wedlock.

The royals, who usually stick to a strict protocol when appearing in public, often arrive at events in ascending order of importance, with the most important royal arriving last.

Prince Charles, 72, is currently first-in-line to the British throne, followed by Prince William, 39, his oldest son.

Then comes Prince William’s children, George, seven, Charlotte, six, and Louis, three, and they are followed by Prince Harry, 36. Prince Harry is succeeded by his son Archie Harrison, born in May 2019.

One Direction: Harry Styles spent ‘£20,000 on a sculpture of Jesus’

Shortly after One Direction came third on the X Factor their popularity skyrocketed. The five-piece boyband quickly became one of the best-known acts in the world before going on to sell more than 70 million records worldwide. Just a few years into becoming extremely well-known, Harry Styles bought a new apartment in London.

The Worcestershire local bought an East London property in 2012 for around £3 million, as reported by Variety at the time.

To make his new place feel a little more like home, Harry attended the Art13 fair in London in March 2013.

The fair included a number of avant-garde pieces, some of which he indulged himself upon.

According to The Sun, Harry spent “tens of thousands of pounds” on a collection of art.

The star apparently bought a cast of a human skull placed upon a bible, sat next to a hypodermic needle.

He also purchased a piece from famed taxidermist Polly Morgan.

Harry, who has since won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance, also bought prints by artist Ben Turnbull.

Most bizarre of all was a reported £20,000 purchase of a Jesus sculpture depicting the religious icon as a boxer.

Harry has since bought up a few houses on the same street, beginning a small but fierce property empire in London.

His success comes off the back of his double platinum-selling album Fine Line which hit store shelves in 2019.

Despite his solo success, however, rumours have surfaced that he could be reuniting with One Direction in the months to come.

Ladbrokes recently gave One Direction staggering 1/4 odds on getting back together this year.

Even more surprising are the 10/11 odds on Zayn Malik being a part of that get-together, despite being the first member of the band to have jumped ship.

The firm’s Alex Apati said: “Zayn’s made it no secret he always planned on leaving 1D, but the latest odds suggest that if the band are to reunite, he’ll almost definitely be a part of it.”

Ethereum price prediction: ETH could soar to $20,000 in 2025 amid 'major changes'

Long-awaited upgrades to the Ethereum network, which kicked off at the end of 2020 and designed to help ETH scale and reduce its pricey costs, could help it reach never-before-seen heights.

Panel member and BitBull Capital chief operating officer Sarah Bergrstrand said: “We are likely to see major upgrades to the Ethereum network this year, and those can be expected to push the price higher.

Ms Bergstrand is very optimistic for Ethereum, predicting it could reach a staggering $ 100,000 by the time 2025 comes around.

The soaring popularity of DeFi, the process of using crypto technology to recreate traditional financial tools like loans and interest designed to replace the role of banks with blockchain-based protocols, has given Ethereum a helping hand in climbing over the last year.

Count 'em! MLB hits 20,000 players when Godoy debuts for M's

There was no fanfare at Petco Park when Godoy came in to catch in the bottom of the sixth inning with the Mariners trailing 12-1.

There was a big number reached in Major League Baseball during the San Diego Padres’ 16-1 blowout over Seattle, and it had nothing to do with runs.
Because when Mariners backup catcher José Godoy made his big league debut Friday night, he became the 20,000th player in MLB history.
There was no fanfare at Petco Park when Godoy came in to catch in the bottom of the sixth inning with the Mariners trailing 12-1. The 26-year-old from Venezuela who signed with St. Louis in 2011 and joined the Seattle system last winter grounded out and walked in his two plate appearances.
But to fans who had been tracking the procession to 20,000 on the Twitter postings by the web site Céspedes Family BBQ, it was a big deal.
The Mariners got in the spirit, too, marking the occasion with a “Jeopardy!”-style answer to: “Who is José Godoy?”
“Welcome to the show and baseball trivia lore, José!” it said.
The list of big leaguers began in 1871 and ranges from A to Z — there has never been a player whose last name started with X, although there have been several with first names that start that way, including Red Sox star Xander Bogaerts.
First on the alphabetical chart is pitcher David Aardsma, who moved into the top spot ahead of Hank Aaron when he started out in 2004 for San Francisco. Aardsma’s last season was 2015 — that was the same year the player last on the list, pitcher Tony Zych, made his debut with the Mariners.
Of the 20,000 players overall, 266 have reached the Hall of Fame. Walter Alston played two innings in his only game in 1936 for the Cardinals, striking out in his lone at-bat and making an error at first base — and later reached Cooperstown as the longtime manager of the Dodgers.
