Ashley Cain and wife Safiyya Vorajee are heartbroken over the tragic death of their 8-month-old baby girl Azaylia.

Our hearts go out to Ashley Cain, 30, and his wife Safiyya Vorajee, 34. The couple confirmed the tragic news that their 8-month-old Azaylia Diamond sadly passed away after learning she had “days to live.” The baby was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Leukemia in October at just two months old, and has been receiving chemotherapy. “Rest In Paradise Princess,” Ashley wrote on Instagram on April 25. “I will always hold you in my heart until I can hold you again in heaven.”

Safiyya also shared a tribute to social media. “You are my Angel my heartbeat my soul,” she wrote. “RIP my precious baby, you will always be with me like a handprint on my heart.” The news comes after The Challenge star confirmed that chemo “is not working” on Azaylia, and that cancerous tumors were found throughout the baby’s body. “They think she’s only got one, two days to live — and it could even be that night,” he wrote on April 9, alongside a photo of his baby playing with a ball despite being attached to medical equipment. “Her disease is that aggressive that nothing they are doing … is working,” he said, explaining they were unable to do a spinal tap surgery “would kill her.”

While Ashley and his wife had intended to take the baby to Singapore for further treatment, they were told the doctors there would also be unable to treat Azalyia given how advanced her cancer is. “So, that means we’re going back home. We’re going back home and we’re gonna try and make our baby as comfortable as possible,” Cain said. “We’re gonna be strong, and we’re gonna go out with honor,” he confirmed.

Days before Azaylia’s death, Safiyya shared that the couple had castings made of the little girl’s feet via Instagram story to forever remember her. Ashley held the baby as the mold’s were applied to her feet in the emotional moment. Safiyya also shared a sweet video of the mother-daughter duo dancing to The Jungle Book‘s “I Wanna Be Like You” as a celebration of her 8 month birthday. “We get up and I give my girl 100%,” Safiyaa wrote in her caption. “We keep her filled with the same energy & love that she’s used to,” and “I only ever want you to see happiness and experience love,” she said.

Ashley also wrote a sweet tribute for Azaylia’s birthday. “Yesterday Azaylia returned home from hospital like the fearless little lioness that she is,” he penned. “I honestly thought @therock was my hero until I spent the last 8 months with you. You taught me how to be strong when I needed strength, you taught me how to smile when I am feeling sad, you taught me how to cherish every single moment – as these moments are all we have. You’ve been tenacious, fearless, courageous, positive, happy and loving through times which I thought would make it impossible!” he wrote. “You’ve given me the best 8 months of my life through the toughest of times. MY HERO 🙌🏾 I LOVE YOU,” he concluded.

Ashley Cain says family 'making every day count' with baby Azaylia

Ashley Cain said he is “making every day count” with baby daughter Azaylia and has a “crazy belief” that the family will have weeks left with her.

The Ex On The Beach star, 30, updated fans on his gravely-ill baby’s condition on his Instagram stories on Sunday night and said he and his girlfriend are not “counting the days” and instead are just focussed on making sure every one of those days counts, The Mirror reports.

Last month, Ashley and his girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee took eight-month-old Azaylia home after doctors told them her leukaemia can no longer be treated.

Even though doctors said she could have just days to live, Ashley said the family are trying to make all their time together count and don’t let their baby girl out of their sight.

Ashley wrote: “We had another very tough day today.

“To be honest, every single day is a very tough day.

“We don’t take Azaylia out of our sight for a single second at the moment, caring for her every need.

“Today was the first time for days that she has been able to open her eyes. The swelling and the blood in her tears is causing her pain and forcing them to stick and shut.

“But with relentless care and improvisation we’ve managed to help her see the world again. Even though she doesn’t have much energy, she loved to see her surroundings today and had the loveliest little play time.

“We even got a smile, which was worth more than anything money can buy. As a parent, it’s the hardest thing in the world to see your child like this, at home with the painful, inevitable fate pending.

“For some insane reason though, I still have some crazy belief that she will still be with us next week, the week after that, and the week after that.

“But we aren’t counting the days right now, we’re just doing our best to make those days count.”

Azalyia has been fighting a rare and aggressive form of leukaemia since she was just two months old.

Ashley and Safiyya had managed to raise over £1million to get Azaylia treatment abroad, but doctors discovered there was nothing more that could be done.

Ashley Cain inundated with donations for daughter’s life-saving treatment after relapse

In a post, he said: “We are devastated at the news and are left with very few options.

“We, along with the consultants have been reaching out globally in the last 24 hours to find a solution to save Azaylia’s life.”

Ashley followed up his post telling fans they had to apply for an emergency passport after finding fitting treatment for their daughter in Singapore.

He explained: “After long discussions and a global outreach for treatment, our consultants along with consultants from around the world have come to the conclusion that the ONLY option to save Azaylia’s life is to fly to Singapore for CAR-T therapy plus a haplo [haploidentical] transplant, for a minimum period of 1 year.

Ashley Banjo: Harry and Meghan offered dancer 'support' in private call after BGT drama

Following ITV’s airing of Meghan and Prince Harry’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey [originally broadcast on CBS] on Monday night, the Royal couple were inundated with support from celebrities and fans alike. Among those famous faces to back the pair was Ashley Banjo, who revealed they had also offered their support to him when he faced racial backlash following Diversity’s Britain’s Got Talent performance inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement last year.
Ashley said that Harry and Meghan had contacted him after the dance troupe caused significant uproar on the competition, which sparked thousands of complaints and subjected the dancers to a torrent of racial abuse.

Taking to Twitter to share his views of the situation, he penned: “Harry and Meghan told me over the phone they were there for me and they understood more than most…

“I’m forever thankful for that support.”

He added: “Nothing but the highest love and respect for them both #MeghanandHarryonOprah.”

Fans immediately rushed to share their opinions, with many agreeing with Ashley and showing their appreciation for Meghan and Harry’s kind words.

“This is so very sad to watch. So glad you have that support Ash. Last year was traumatic in more ways than one. You have support from lots of us,” one said.

Another added: “Totally agree, I have the deepest respect for them, it’s absolutely heartbreaking listening to what they have been through after all they did was ask for help.”

A third wrote: “So happy to read this. It is like no one is listening to their story. Harry has just said his dad stopped taking his calls, let that sink in. So much respect and love for them both.”

“They slander his family knowing that they can’t respond, now that’s bullying,” a third retorted.

While others believed Ashley’s admission “didn’t happen”, he knows the truth about that conversation and revealed he was forever grateful to have the support from everyone during that tough time in September of last year.

The dancer and his fellow co-stars became the target of racial abuse and threats after performing their dance routine on BGT, which saw the ITV show receive more than 15,500 complaints.

The routine included the globally covered death of George Floyd and subsequent protests around the world, but many viewers complained and criticised it for being “too political” for a Saturday night entertainment program.

At the time, Ashley thanked fans for their support saying he feels “positive, proud, happy and confident” about the performance and emphasised that the negative responses have been “in the minority”.
