Lord of the Rings Gollum gameplay reveal, WRC 10, Blood Bowl 3: Watch Nacon Connect LIVE

French publisher Nacon is about to hold a live presentation full of gameplay reveals.

The Nacon Connect presentation takes place on July 6 at 6pm BST UK time. You can watch it live by clicking play on the YouTube embed below, which will be added nearer the start time.

According to Nacon, the broadcast will feature 13 exciting announcements, as well as three exclusive reveals.

“With only one day until we lift the lid on 13 exciting announcements for our games and accessories,” reads a Nacon post.

“If that wasn’t enough we’ve also got 3 EXCLUSIVE REVEALS in the pipeline. What are you looking forward to most?”

As you can see from the promotional material further down the page, viewers will get a look at games such as Blood Bowl 3, WRC 10, and Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is another game with a lot of fanfare. The action RPG is said to feature a “heart-pounding story” with plenty of player choice.

“Play as 3 vampires, harness their powers, embrace their desires, and face their demons in a heart-pounding story in which your choices decide the fate of Boston,” reads the official description.

Other games to be featured during the event include Rogue Lords, Steel Rising, Roguebook, and skateboarding game Session.

Session is already available on Steam Early Access, but is still awaiting an official release.

“Inspired by the golden era of skateboarding, Session’s primary goal is to make you experience what skateboarding really is; an incredible culture where there are no other goals other than expressing your creativity and achieving success through hard work, perseverance and bits of madness for no one else other than yourself.

“Be ready to play the most authentic and grounded skateboarding experience in the most legendary spots on earth, film and make the gnarliest skate parts out there.”

Arguably the biggest game of all is Lord of the Rings Gollum, which is the first of countless LotR games in development.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is described as a story-driven action adventure game set in Middle-earth.

Set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the story revolves around Gollum’s hunt for the One Ring.

According to the official description, the Lord of the Rings spinoff game will feature stealth elements, huge levels and a dual personality gameplay mechanic.

Based on previous reports, the split-personality mechanic will lead to some interesting choices during each chapter. Presumably this will impact the ending of the game.

Daedalic Entertainment has signed up to develop and publish multiple Lord of the Rings releases, which is great news after a long absence for the series on consoles.

NFL offering vaccines, discounts and Super Bowl LVI ticket giveaways for the vaccinated

The White House and the NFL have announced efforts to encourage sports fans to get vaccinated ahead of football season and Super Bowl 2022.

The NFL and the White House COVID-19 Response Team are encouraging football fans to get vaccinated and are offering some incentives as the nation comes out of the pandemic and fans plan to head back to stadiums.
In a joint effort to get the word out this week, the White House tweeted that the NFL is now offering to vaccinate fans at 21 stadiums so far, and said that at least 3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered at NFL locations so far.
In a Wednesday announcement, the NFL said it would also be offering a 25% discount on purchases made at NFLShop.com for vaccinated fans, later this year. The league said it will announce more details on that offer at a later, unspecified date.
Vaccinated fans will have a chance to win tickets to Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles, as the league announced that it will put up 50 tickets for the giveaway. More details on the next Super Bowl are expected to be announced Saturday during the broadcast of “Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World,” on ABC, CBS, FOX, YouTube and iHeartMedia broadcast radio stations.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle serve as campaign chairs for Vax Live, leading an effort to raise money for the vaccine-sharing program COVAX, with is trying to obtain $ 19 billion to fund vaccines for medical workers.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will appear during the taped broadcast. Musical guests including the Foo Fighters, Eddie Vedder, J Balvin and H.E.R. are set to perform, along with a list of celebrity appearances during the show.

The NFL is not alone though. The White House tweeted that both NASCAR and Major League Soccer will be holding sweepstakes of their own featuring 2022 Daytona 500 tickets and a trip to the 2021 MLS All-Star Game. In June, MLS clubs will offer a 30% discount for merchandise purchased in-stadium for those who are vaccinated.
NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy tweeted Tuesday that details on the Super Bowl LVI ticket promotion will be issued soon so that fans can participate to win one of 50 tickets offered for the game next February.

Paul Merton quipped Queen would struggle to eat bowl of cereal in Meghan and Harry swipe

This post originally appeared on Daily Express :: Celebrity News Feed

The Have I Got News For You (HIGNFY) stars caused a stir on The One Show this week after Merton accused his co-host Ian Hislop of being drunk on air. It followed the slated star going off track while discussing what news stories they would be covering on the BBC show. Hislop said there was a range of topics from Adrian Dunbar in the popular crime drama Line Of Duty to “corruption in public life”.

The Private Eye editor said: “He’s looking out for the erm – the worst offenders.

“So, you know, he could ‘Mother of God’, whenever we came up with a story about yet another… bad behaviour in high places.”

Merton mocked his TV colleague’s umming and ahhing when he stated: “I think he’s drunk?

“Does anybody else think he’s drunk? He’s coming across as drunk, isn’t he?”

The playful exchange caused One Show’s hosts Alex Scott and Alex Jones to burst into hysterical laughter.

“And now, being a really miserable b*****d… I didn’t know! But I would get yourself tested!”

Merton argued against being called a “miserable b*****d” and said it was Hislop’s fault because he had been his mentor for 30 years.

In another swipe on a 2018 episode of HIGNFY, Merton joked about the frailty of the Queen.

It followed a discussion about the food due to be served at Meghan and Harry’s wedding reception.

They revealed the 600 guests would tuck into British classics in canapes and bowl dishes.

Comedian Roisin Conaty took aim at the royals’ choice of crockery during HIGNFY.

She said: “I just can’t believe they are serving food in bowls.

“Imagine you’ve got a glass and a clutch, do you just put your bowl under your chin and eat from a trough?”

Conaty playfully joked that the Queen might need “to stand up and eat out of a bowl”.

Merton fired back: “No, she will have a footman chucking cheesy Wotsits at her.”

The statement implied Her Majesty was unable or unwilling to feed herself in a playful pop.

Tonight’s (April 30) episode of HIGNFY, which is hosted by Alexander Armstrong, is due to feature comedian Joe Lycett and journalist Kirsty Wark.

Earlier this week, during the stars’ playful exchange on The One Show Merton took another swipe at Hislop.

After joking about the star being inebriated on air, he mocked Hislop for how he conducted himself.

Merton said: “This is a good thing for kids at home who want to grow up to edit a satirical magazine.

“And there he is, look, it’s quarter past seven and he can barely string a word together.”

Hislop laughed at the jibe via video link and raised up his glass, which contained a clear fluid presumed to be water.

He quipped: “He’s absolutely right!”

Alex Scott, who could barely contain herself, added: “My cheeks are hurting!”

Ian Hislop and Paul Merton star in Have I Got News For You, which airs at 9pm tonight (April 30) on BBC One.
