Nikki Grahame dead: Big Brother star dies age 38 after health worsens amid anorexia battle

Big Brother star Nikki Grahame, who rose to fame in the 2006 series, died yesterday just weeks after a GoFundMe page was set up to raise money for private treatment. Her manager said: “It is with immeasurable sadness that Nikki Grahame passed away in the early hours of Friday 9th April 2021. Please respect the privacy of Nikki’s friends and family at this tragic and difficult time.”
The reality star checked into a private hospital to treat her eating disorder last month.

Nikki’s mum Susan discussed her daughter’s health battle on This Morning in March, telling viewers she had been struggling.

She said: “With Covid, it sounds crazy but stuff like gyms closing impacted her.

“In order for her to eat she needs to know she can exercise, so when they closed it was quite a worry, the isolation as well.

The reality star rose to fame on Big Brother UK in 2006, in which she finished in fifth place.

Four years later, she became a runner-up to Brian Dowling on Ultimate Big Brother.

Nikki had been open about her battle with anorexia since finding fame on the show.

The star’s condition meant she had spent more time in eating disorder units than at home and school from ages eight to 16.

In 2009, she released her autobiography Dying To Be Thin.

Tributes have flooded in for the late star on social media this evening.

Author Juno Danson wrote: “Nikki Grahame was a reality TV icon and I so dearly wanted her to be well. This is very sad.”

Jedward commented: “Rip Nikki Grahame as fellow Big brother contestants we’ve gone through the same experience and having met you on tv shows! Our heart goes out to your family and friends.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Cheryl Hole added: “I had the absolute pleasure of working with Nikki Grahame last year!

“She was an absolute joy, an icon like no other and will be so deeply missed! RIP Nikki.”

Larsa Pippen’s Son Preston, 19, Looks So Much Like Dad Scottie As He Enjoys Dinner With Mom & Brother

Like father, like son! Scottie Pippen’s mini-me Preston looked more like his dad than ever, when Larsa Pippen posted a new family snap.

Larsa Pippen[1] is enjoying some family time! The gorgeous former Real Housewives of Miami star[2], 46, took to Instagram on March 27 to share a happy snap with her sons Scotty Jr., 20, and Preston, 19. The trio were dining at Miami hotspot Swan, as the model and former Kardashian bestie[3] relocated to Florida for the winter. She kept it simple in her caption, dropping a black heart emoji. “So big and so cute!!!!” one fan commented, while hundreds of others noted how much they looked like their dad, Scottie Pippen[4]. The mom-of-four rocked a black, strapless dress with a silver diamond necklace, sparkling stud earrings, and a diamond bracelet.

She pulled her highlighted tresses back into a half up half down style, and pouted for the camera while throwing up a peace sign. It comes just a few weeks before Larsa was seen rocking a black two piece swimsuit[5] on the beach with her daughter Sophia[6], 13. She donned a barely-there bikini and an oversized flannel shirt, as she slicked her caramel tresses back into a high ponytail for the February 27 outing. The Real Housewives of Miami[7] alum also accessorized with a pair of black sandals, dark sunglasses, and a black tote bag. Her teenage daughter opted for a pair of high waisted daisy duke shorts, and a white graphic tee featuring a print of a dragon.

The same week, Larsa took to her Instagram Story, revealing she was “still thinking about” returning for the fourth season of Bravo’s RHOM. A source told HL that, “Larsa’s attorney advised her it wouldn’t be a good idea [to return to the show], but she’s still thinking about it. She knows it comes with great financial gain, so she’s still on the fence.” The Real Housewives of Miami ran for three seasons between 2011 and 2013, with Larsa appearing in the main cast alongside Lea BlackAdriana de Moura, Alexia Echevarria and Marysol Patton. [8]

UFC supremo Dana White admits defeat in bid

Five months after Khabib Nurmagomedov announced he was stepping away from the octagon, Dana White has finally recognized his UFC retirement in an emotional shared announcement – with a May clash set to decide the new champion.

UFC president White has admitted defeat after his latest meeting with former lightweight king Nurmagomedov, accepting the Russian’s shock retirement which he first declared after putting away Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in October.

Nurmagomedov emotionally revealed in the octagon that he would be stepping away in order to honor a promise he had made to his mother, although he went out in fitting style with a stunning second-round triangle choke submission against the dangerous Gaethje.

Having lost his father, Abdulmanap, to complications arising from Covid-19 last summer, Nurmagomedov opted not to continue without his life-long coach by his side, ending a 29-0 career that saw him talked of as the greatest mixed martial artist of all time .

Still, this hadn’t deterred White from attempting to lure the American Kickboxing Academy star into one last dance, with everything from a superfight with Georges St-Pierre to a scrap with current welterweight ruler Kamaru Usman entertained.

Some five months later, however, with the lightweight division held up in the meantime, White has given up on his quest, taking to social media late on Thursday night to face facts alongside a photo of the pair together.

“29-0 it is,” accepted White. “He is 100 percent officially retired. It was incredible to watch you work. Thank you for everything and enjoy whatever is next, my friend.”

An hour later, Khabib shared the same snap on Instagram with his own message to his former boss and those responsible for his rise to the top.

“It was a good dinner with some great people. [Dana], thank you so much, brother, and the entire UFC team for the opportunity to prove myself. You guys have changed many lives forever because of this sport.

“Dana – I’ll never forget your attitude towards me, my father did not forget and my sons will remember you. Today there was a real conversation between real men.

“Thank you to all my team, sparring partners and all the fans. I hope you will accept my decision and understand me.”

In a fawning appraisal, Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, lauded his fighter’s career and called White “the godfather of MMA” and “big brother”.

“This is the best I have seen between Khabib and Dana,” he said of the meeting. “I have never seen a relationship like this between a fighter and promoter.

“They never argued, they never fought and never complained about each other. Nothing but pure class between the both of them.

“I am a little sad that my brother is leaving the sport, but the Eagle will always sore in the sky. The greatest fighter on the planet.”

Wasting no time, White then revealed to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira will face off for the now-vacant lightweight strap on at UFC 262 on May 15.

“Let’s go!” demanded the Brazilian on Twitter, while his Nashville native foe delivered his trademark exclamation of “see you at the top!”

Having previously trying and failing to convince Khabib to come out of retirement, former Bellator MMA champion Chandler has also talked down Oliveira’s prospects of dominating their weight class.

“The only question I would pose about Charles Oliveira is he’s not a large 155’er,” he told MMA Fighting.

“He’s not a very powerful guy. He’s not a very physically strong guy or overly athletically gifted guy.

“I like Charles Oliveira’s style in the fact that he trots forward, his striking has gotten better, he’s extremely slick with his jiu-jitsu.”

Still, riding an eight-fight winning streak that included Tony Ferguson’s scalp last time out, the São Paulo scrapper will fancy his chances.

Big Brother sets sights on bitcoin: Boom Bust digs into latest move by IRS to root out unreported crypto earnings

The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is launching a new investigation named “Operation Hidden Treasure,” to uncover unreported crypto-related income and to fight cryptocurrency fraud.

RT’s Boom Bust is joined by the program co-host Ben Swann to explore what the move may mean for the future of digital currencies, how this crackdown will be carried out and who the revenue agency will focus on.

The measure is going to really hit early adopters of digital currencies and people who have tried to live within the crypto ecosystem without coming out, according to the journalist. Swann added that it remained a big question what and who Operation Hidden Treasure is focused on.

“Anyone who had crypto, converted that into fiat dollar and didn’t pay taxes on it, or people who exchanged one token for another token, or people who move tokens out of exchange and into a cloud storage wallet,” he says.

“It’s not billionaires like Elon Musk or Mark Cuban who are affected by this, it’s the everyday people who have made cryptocurrency successful who will be targeted by the IRS,” he adds.

Bee Gees fourth brother: Who was the fourth brother of the Bee Gees?

By the early 1980s, Andy’s music was not quite hitting the chart heights of previous singles, with his 1980 duet with Olivia Newton-John, I Can’t Help It, only reaching Number 12.

From 1981 he did not gain another Top 20 single, and his career went into decline.

He also had marital problems, having married his girlfriend, Kim Reeder in 1976, before their divorce in 1978, which came after the birth of their daughter, Peta.

Andy struggled with his mental health, which was exacerbated by drug use and on March 10, 1988, he died of myocarditis, a heart problem likely caused by years of drug abuse.
