While we’re keeping a few things under wraps for now, there is already a lot to uncover from this cinematic trailer. First, the location. After Oahu and Ibiza, TDU Solar Crown takes place in Hong Kong, with the team at KT Racing recreating the full island at a 1:1 scale. Second, we are sticking to the core of TDU with open-world racing, luxury cars, living the high life, and more. Third, we have had a first glimpse at the Streets and Sharps, rival clans which will be at the heart of our story. And finally, a release date: Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is planned for September 22, 2022 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Session: Skateboarding Sim Game gets a free update

It’s been a year already since Session, a skateboarding simulation, arrived on Xbox One through Game Preview. Today, the team at crea-ture studios is proud to deliver a major update, adding a new skateshop in Philadelphia, the famous Black Hubba in New York, but also new game modes such as “Skate or Dice” and a more complete replay editor to create your clips and share your gnarly sessions with the world. There still is a lot we want to add for the game’s full release, but until then, you can continue to play Session in Game Preview and even try it for free for two hours!

Meet the heroes of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a narrative RPG from Big Bad Wolf Studio, where you play as 3 Vampires from different Camarilla clans. After introducing Leysha last month, today the spotlight shines on Galeb, one of the oldest and most feared Vampires in Boston. Power, wealth, immortality, at one point or another, Galeb has had it all, yet he’s left wanting, grasping for something he’s lost. Or perhaps it was never there to begin with. Discover how our 3 playable characters’ stories intertwine and decide the fate of Boston when Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong releases in February 2022 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Free Paris from Louis XVI’s madness -and deadly robots- in SteelRising

SteelRising is an action game from Spiders Studio, set during the French Revolution. You will play as Aegis, a state-of-the-art automaton working under Marie-Antoinette’s service. King Louis XVI has gone mad and unleashed his army of robots on the people of Paris, and you are the best chance the Revolution has. Aegis was not designed for war, so keep in mind every encounter can be deadly, and only patience, observation, and reflexes will help you defeat the odds. SteelRising will release in 2022 on Xbox Series X|S.

Lord of the Rings Gollum gameplay reveal, WRC 10, Blood Bowl 3: Watch Nacon Connect LIVE

Lord of the Rings Gollum gameplay reveal, WRC 10, Blood Bowl 3: Watch Nacon Connect LIVE

French publisher Nacon is about to hold a live presentation full of gameplay reveals.

The Nacon Connect presentation takes place on July 6 at 6pm BST UK time. You can watch it live by clicking play on the YouTube embed below, which will be added nearer the start time.

According to Nacon, the broadcast will feature 13 exciting announcements, as well as three exclusive reveals.

“With only one day until we lift the lid on 13 exciting announcements for our games and accessories,” reads a Nacon post.

“If that wasn’t enough we’ve also got 3 EXCLUSIVE REVEALS in the pipeline. What are you looking forward to most?”

As you can see from the promotional material further down the page, viewers will get a look at games such as Blood Bowl 3, WRC 10, and Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is another game with a lot of fanfare. The action RPG is said to feature a “heart-pounding story” with plenty of player choice.

“Play as 3 vampires, harness their powers, embrace their desires, and face their demons in a heart-pounding story in which your choices decide the fate of Boston,” reads the official description.

Other games to be featured during the event include Rogue Lords, Steel Rising, Roguebook, and skateboarding game Session.

Session is already available on Steam Early Access, but is still awaiting an official release.

“Inspired by the golden era of skateboarding, Session’s primary goal is to make you experience what skateboarding really is; an incredible culture where there are no other goals other than expressing your creativity and achieving success through hard work, perseverance and bits of madness for no one else other than yourself.

“Be ready to play the most authentic and grounded skateboarding experience in the most legendary spots on earth, film and make the gnarliest skate parts out there.”

Arguably the biggest game of all is Lord of the Rings Gollum, which is the first of countless LotR games in development.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is described as a story-driven action adventure game set in Middle-earth.

Set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the story revolves around Gollum’s hunt for the One Ring.

According to the official description, the Lord of the Rings spinoff game will feature stealth elements, huge levels and a dual personality gameplay mechanic.

Based on previous reports, the split-personality mechanic will lead to some interesting choices during each chapter. Presumably this will impact the ending of the game.

Daedalic Entertainment has signed up to develop and publish multiple Lord of the Rings releases, which is great news after a long absence for the series on consoles.

Xbox Live servers are currently down, leaving Xbox One and Xbox Series X owners unable to play games online.

Independent website Down Detector has received thousands of reports that Microsoft’s Xbox Live service isn’t working.

The outage tracker monitors social mentions around certain topics to detect when services go down across the world.

The Down Detector outage map shows that the Xbox Live issues are affecting users in the UK and Europe.

Xbox Support is yet to come out an issue a statement, so there’s no word on when the problem will be fixed.

Likewise, there’s no mention of any offline server issues and account problems on the Xbox Live status page.

According to the official Xbox website, all services are up and running as normal.

This includes accounts and profile, online multiplayer, cloud gaming, and even Xbox services in the cloud and on mobile.

$29 Billion Railroad Merger to Connect U.S., Mexico and Canada

$29 Billion Railroad Merger to Connect U.S., Mexico and Canada

Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern announced plans on Sunday to combine in a $ 29 billion deal that would create the first railroad network connecting the United States, Mexico and Canada.

It is an effort to capitalize on the trade flows expected to run through the three countries after President Donald J. Trump signed the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement[1] into law last year. It’s also a bet on the strength of the industrial economy as the United States rebounds from the pandemic.

Canadian Pacific links major ports on the East and West Coasts between the United States and Canada, while Kansas City Southern connects the United States, Mexico and Panama. The two connect on a single point: a joint facility in Kansas City, Mo., where Kansas City Southern is based.

“This deal just has so many longer-term strategic advantages,” Kansas City Southern’s chief executive, Patrick J. Ottensmeyer, said in an interview. “Our board really saw the value in putting these two companies together right now.”

The combined company, Canadian Pacific Kansas City, will have its global headquarters in Calgary, Alberta, while Kansas City will serve as its U.S. headquarters. It will operate roughly 20,000 miles of rail and generate sales of about $ 8.7 billion. Canadian Pacific’s chief executive, Keith Creel, will oversee the new entity.

The deal values Kansas City Southern at $ 275 per share, representing a 23 percent premium to its closing price on Friday. Investors will receive 0.489 of a Canadian Pacific share and $ 90 in cash for each Kansas City common share.

It is also a significant increase from the reported $ 208 a share offer from the Blackstone Group[2], a private equity firm, that Kansas City Southern rebuffed last year. Shares of Kansas City are up 12 percent year-to-date, while shares of Canadian Pacific have climbed almost 10 percent.

The boards of both companies have unanimously approved the cash-and-stock deal, which is expected to close by the middle of 2022, subject to customary approvals.

The railroad industry can be viewed as a bellwether of industrial activity; it expects to benefit from a growing U.S. economy as it emerges from the pandemic. The Federal Reserve has signaled optimism[3] for the nation’s economic outlook, and President Biden signed a $ 1.9 trillion spending bill into law this month[4].

Investors in Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern are not alone in their optimism for the industry’s outlook. Warren Buffett, whose Berkshire Hathaway owns BNSF Railway, recently extolled the value he saw in the U.S. railroad industry in his annual letter[5].

The railroad executives on Sunday highlighted other opportunities they see in the deal. Mr. Creel called the merger a “compelling opportunity to take trucks off the road” at a time when the United States is focused on a transition to a greener economy. It also reduces risks in the global supply chain after a pandemic that highlighted its weaknesses, Mr. Ottensmeyer said.

The deal needs approval from the Surface Transportation Board, a division of the Department of Transportation, which has previously acknowledged[6] concerns that railroad consolidation has led to service issues for shippers[7]. Canadian Pacific’s past efforts to acquire U.S. railroads have failed, in part because of such concerns. That includes talks with CSX Corporation in 2014[8] and Norfolk Southern in 2016.[9] And the Biden administration has already signaled a tougher stance on antitrust scrutiny[10].

Because of its size, Kansas City Southern is exempt from guidelines put in place in 2001 to tighten deal scrutiny in the industry.[11] The combined company would still be the smallest of the remaining six largest freight railroads operating in the United States. The two railroads have no overlap, Mr. Creel and Mr. Ottensmeyer said — and, in some cases, the transaction will create new markets.

“There’s zero other deals that represent the uniqueness of this deal,” Mr. Creel said.
