Fortnite place a spirit crystal at tallest mountain Week 11 challenge SOLVED

Fortnite developer Epic Games has released the Week 11 challenges in Battle Royale.

The next batch of Fortnite challenges are available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC.

Completing challenges rewards players with additional XP, which can be used to level up the Battle Pass.

Needless to say, levelling up the Battle Pass is how you unlock the very best rewards, such as new skins, items, sprays and emotes.

You can even earn V-Bucks by levelling up via the challenges, which can be used to purchase next season’s Battle Pass.

With the latest season coming to an end soon, this week’s challenges encourage players to enjoy everything the game has to offer.

Players will unlock XP by playing three different game modes, including Solos, LTMs and Creative.

You can also level up the Battle Pass by spending Gold at Deadfire’s store, which is ideal if you’re yet to try some of the game’s rarer weapons.

Another challenge tasks players with maintaining shields for one minute, or using bandages to heal.

One of the more interesting challenges tasks users with placing a spirit crystal at the top of the tallest mountain.

Fortunately, this challenge is even more straightforward than it seems, because you don’t actually have to collect a crystal first.

Instead, just head to the area marked by the X on the map above, and interact with the spirit crystal at the top of the mountain.

If you’re still not sure exactly what to do, check out the video below for a proper walkthrough of the Week 11 challenge.

The remaining Fortnite Week 11 challenges can be seen further down the page. Good luck!

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp calls on his players to produce in ‘final’ with Crystal Palace

“You cannot not give no away chances against Burnley, because of the physicality and the way they play. Each set piece is an incredible challenge for us, for our centre-halfs. The boys did outstandingly well.

“It was a big chance when Bobby scored, it was good football, but we had before that two massive chances that we didn’t use. But we scored that one, Nat with the header and Oxlade with a nice little football skill – a nice little reminder for him, to show how good he is.

“We have to make sure that we recover extremely quickly. Obviously we have a thin squad, especially in some positions.

“We just have to wrap them, more or less in cotton wool. And make sure that on Sunday we are ready again. We get now the support of 10,000 people at Anfield. I can’t wait actually, but I am happy that it is not tomorrow so we have a few more days. But nothing is decided.

“Crystal Palace are strong – Christian Benteke scored again today, Zaha, Ayew, Batshuayi, Towsend – you have to be really on top, it’s Premier League, rightly so. Let’s give it a proper try.”

Roy Hodgson confirms Crystal Palace exit with Frank Lampard favourite to replace him

Roy Hodgson said: “After more than 45 years of coaching I have decided that the time is right for me to step away from the rigours of top-flight Premier League football, so our final two matches will be my last ones as manager of Crystal Palace. “It’s been a particularly rewarding period of my football life and career to have been able to spend these last four seasons with Palace. I feel now that at the end of another successful season, in which we have secured our Premier League status, the moment is right for me to step down from my responsibilities of being a full-time manager.
“I have had so much support from my wife and family throughout my career and I have been contemplating this decision for some time, and now I believe the time is right to consider them and to see what the future holds for me.

“I have really enjoyed my time at Palace, I have been privileged to work with an outstanding group of professional and dedicated players, most of whom have been with me throughout the four years. A manager is only as good as the players who perform on the pitch. I have been fortunate that those in my charge have certainly given me that and I thank them for it.

“I am sure I speak for all the players, my coaching staff and backroom team, when I say I am proud of the work we have done together to retain our Premier League status during this time.

“I would also like to thank our Chairman Steve Parish, his partners David Blitzer and Josh Harris and Sporting Director Dougie Freedman for all their support over the years.

“They gave me an opportunity to return to my hometown club and I have always felt we were singing from the same hymn sheet in trying to achieve our joint goals.

“I can only wish them all the very best of luck for a successful future and I am convinced that the club will go from strength to strength.”

Man hospitalized with flesh-eating bacteria infection after family trip to Crystal Beach

GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A Conroe wife is sending a warning out after her husband’s wound was infected by a flesh-eating bacteria while visiting Crystal Beach last week.Robbin Kelly-Dunn said her family was visiting the beach located in Galveston County for her birthday on May 5.

Kelly-Dunn said her husband Darrell was involved in a golf cart accident while on the beach which crushed his legs and injured him.She said when they called 911, the dispatcher said it would take a while to get to a hospital in Galveston due to their location.

The wife, who is a medical professional, said when her husband was finally admitted to a hospital, his wounds were still exposed.

“I know protocol,” she said. “When someone comes into the emergency room with something like that, especially if it’s on a beach area, you are supposed to clean the wounds because of possible infections. Nothing was done.”

She said Darrell was released, and when they returned home they went to two other hospitals and an urgent care. Finally, he was admitted to a facility in The Woodlands where staff immediately put him on antibiotics.

“Had I waited, he could have possibly lost his limb,” she said. The infection is from a bacteria called Vibrio Vulnificus, which is commonly known as a flesh-eating bacteria. It can be found in raw or undercooked shellfish, and naturally present in salt water.

According to the CDC, symptoms of an infection can start 12 to 72 hours after exposure.

Associate professor in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at McGovern Medical School Dr. Anthony Flores said this infection is rare, but can occur, especially when someone has an open wound.

“The infections themselves that we see in either children or adults are pretty rare. But, when we do see them, it’s usually after exposure to the waters where the bug lives,” Flores said. “In somebody that has an open wound, more frequently in adults, we see it with people with underlying health conditions like diabetes, liver problem, Cirrhosis and things like that.”

According to the CDC, storm surges and coastal flooding can also increase the presence of the flesh-eating bacteria. It is recommended for people to wait 48 hours after a significant rain event before going for a swim.Symptoms or signs of an infection can include fever, blistering skin lesions, redness, swelling and pain.

ABC13 put in a request with UTMB Galveston on Friday regarding this case and has not heard back yet. Galveston County Health Department has information on its website about the Vibrio Vulnificus bacteria.

Traveler busted with crystal meth inside breakfast burrito at Houston airport

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — You can add a lot of ingredients to your breakfast burritos these days, but usually crystal meth isn’t one of them.Still, that didn’t stop TSA officers from finding exactly that during a checkpoint screening at Hobby Airport on April 2.

The TSA said they were doing a routine screening when they noticed an unidentified lump inside of a traveler’s breakfast burrito. The size of the burrito was so unusual, TSA asked to inspect it further, requesting for the traveler to unwrap it.

Officers said the person tried to insist it was just a breakfast burrito.

Once the wrapper was open, authorities said they saw something dark and unusual in the middle of the food that didn’t match the description the passenger gave.

As the breakfast burrito went through the X-ray for a second scan, TSA officers saw what appeared to be black tape and dark wrapping around a large organic mass.Suspecting that it was something illegally hidden in the food, TSA called Houston police, who determined it was crystal meth.

HPD confiscated the drugs, and the traveler was arrested.

Shearer hails Chelsea trio and Tuchel's masterstroke vs Crystal Palace

Alan Shearer has praised Thomas Tuchel for opting against using a target man in Saturday’s clash with Crystal Palace[1] as he lavished praised on Chelsea’s front three.

Kai Havertz led the line in attack for the Blues, flanked by Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount either side.

Chelsea[2] eventually ran out 4-1 winners at Selhurst Park, with Havertz opening the scoring, Pulisic bagging a brace and Mount weighing in with an assist for Kurt Zouma.

And Shearer feels the way Tuchel set up his team gave Palace all manner of problems and allowed his attacking trio the perfect platform to thrive.

“I thought it was a very clever team selection to not play [Olivier] Giroud or [Tammy] Abraham but instead play Havertz, Pulisic and Mount, who like to drop deep, whereas the two big centre-forwards might want to go up and scrap against the two big centre-halves [Cheikhou] Kouyate and [Gary] Cahill,” Shearer said on Match of the Day 2.

“And those three today were just too good for those two because they didn’t want to come out, they didn’t want to go and mark one of them because if they had of then they leave the space in behind and that caused them problems.

“They created chance after chance. Havertz, who played very well today scored one, had an assist, probably should’ve scored another couple of goals.

“As I said it was a constant, a defender just didn’t want to come out and close them down. He [Mount] was clever in everything he did as well.

“Second half it didn’t change… it’s all from those players dropping deep and getting the ball and as I said they were just too good for them. It was a superb performance from Chelsea, particularly going forward.”

Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz were both on the scoresheet for the Blues

Havertz took just eight minutes to get Chelsea off the mark, curling a well-placed left-foot shot into the far corner.

Two minutes later he turned provider for Pulisic, cutting the ball back for the American to fire home emphatically past Vicente Guaita in the Palace goal.

The game was as good as over after half hour when Mount’s free-kick delivery found the head of Zouma, and Palace’s second-half revival was short-lived when Pulisic restored the three-goal deficit following Christian Benteke’s consolation.

The win put Chelsea’s top four charge back on track following their heavy defeat to West Brom last week, leaving them fifth in the table and just a point off West Ham[3] and two ahead of Liverpool[4].

Texas Court of Criminal Appeals will review Crystal Mason’s controversial illegal voting conviction

The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has agreed to review the illegal voting conviction of Crystal Mason, a Tarrant County woman facing a five-year prison sentence for casting a provisional ballot in the 2016 election while she was on supervised release for a federal conviction.

The state’s court of last resort for criminal matters granted Mason’s petition on Wednesday, elevating the profile of a case that could test the extent to which provisional ballots provide a safe harbor for voters amid questions about their eligibility. Her 2016 vote was never counted.

After discovering she was not on the voter roll, Mason submitted a provisional ballot in that year’s presidential election on the advice of a poll worker. Because she was still on supervised release for a federal tax fraud conviction, she was not eligible to participate in elections and her vote was rejected. Throughout the case, Mason has said she had no idea she was ineligible to vote under Texas law and wouldn’t have knowingly risked her freedom. But Tarrant County prosecutors pressed forward with charges, arguing Mason’s case came down to intent.

A trial court judge convicted her of illegally voting, a second-degree state felony, relying on an affidavit Mason signed before casting her provisional ballot. The affidavit required individuals to swear that “if a felon, I have completed all my punishment including any term of incarceration, parole, supervision, period of probation, or I have been pardoned.” Mason said she did not read that side of the paper.

The all-Republican court’s decision to review Mason’s case is notable. The Court of Criminal Appeals isn’t required to review non-death penalty convictions, and it rarely grants requests to do so. However, the court indicated it won’t hear oral arguments in the case and instead rely on legal briefs.

Mason turned to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals late last year after a state appeals court panel affirmed the trial court’s judgement.

In her petition to the court, Mason’s lawyers argued the appeals court erred in upholding her conviction because the state’s illegal voting statute requires a person to know they are ineligible to vote and Mason did not. In its ruling, the three-judge appeals panel wrote that the fact Mason did not know she was ineligible was “irrelevant to her prosecution.”

“The State needed only to prove that she voted while knowing of the existence of the condition that made her ineligible,” Justice Wade Birdwell wrote in the court’s opinion. In other words, Mason’s knowledge that she was on supervised release was sufficient for an illegal voting conviction.

Mason’s lawyers argued that letting that finding stand “eviscerates” a voter’s right to cast a provisional ballot under the Help America Vote Act, which established provisional ballots as a way for people whose registration is in doubt to record their votes and allow local officials to later determine if those ballots should be counted.

“These issues have far reaching implications for Texas voters who make innocent mistakes concerning their eligibility to vote and could potentially be prosecuted for such mistakes, including the tens of thousands of voters who submit provisional ballots in general elections believing in good faith they are eligible to vote but turn out to be incorrect in that belief,” their brief read.

Tarrant County prosecutors have insisted they’re not criminalizing individuals who merely vote by mistake and that they were able to prove Mason she was ineligible through the affidavit.

In response to Mason’s petition, Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney Sharen Wilson told the court she would not file a formal reply unless it granted review and instead submitted her office’s response to Mason’s previous request for the appellate court to reconsider her case.

“[Mason] does not even fall within the group of people whom she claims [the Help America Vote Act] is designed to protect. Her conviction for voting in an election when she knew she was not eligible to vote does not run afoul of HAVA in any way,” her office argued in that brief.

Mason’s case has played out amid a Republican-led crackdown on voter fraud that’s been largely fueled by baseless claims of rampant illegal voting and recent failed attempts to impose even tighter voting restrictions and to scour the voter rolls for supposed noncitizens.

In light of those failed efforts, attention has turned to a handful of high-profile prosecutions of people of color.

Before Mason, who is Black, there was Rosa Maria Ortega, a legal permanent resident also living in Tarrant County who was convicted of voter fraud after attempting to register to vote despite not being a citizen. Ortega — who did not realize her immigration status meant she was ineligible — cast ballots that counted in several elections. She was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2017 and granted parole in 2019; as of February of last year, Ortega was facing deportation.

‘Respect to him’: Crystal Palace ace Zaha becomes first Premier League star NOT to take a knee after describing it as ‘degrading’

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha made good on his vow not to take a knee anymore as he became the first Premier League star to go against the grain since the gesture was introduced.

Zaha stood tall while others around him knelt before the kick-off as Palace took on West Brom in the Premier League on Saturday, making the 28-year-old Ivory Coast star the first footballer in England’s top flight to shun the move.

The former Manchester United star initially explained his decision back in February, saying: “I feel like taking a knee is degrading.

“Growing up, my parents just let me know that I should just be proud to be black, no matter what, and I just think we should stand tall.

“I think the meaning behind the whole thing is becoming something that we just do now. That’s not enough. I’m not going to take the knee.”
Also on rt.com ‘Why must I kneel down?’ Premier League star Zaha calls Black Lives Matter ‘degrading’ as he slams football’s ‘tick box’ tokenism
Players in England adopted the gesture on the resumption of football last June, amid the swell of the Black Lives Matter movement following the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in America.

Black Lives Matter signs can still be found at Premier League stadiums, although the league itself has since replaced logos bearing the BLM name with a ‘No Room for Racism’ message on players’ shirts instead.

On Saturday at Selhurst Park, Zaha stood with his hands behind his back and facing forwards while others on the pitch – including officials – dropped to one knee.

The act from the forward won widespread praise on social media.

“Respectful decision…I understand where he is coming from. Half the players and people do it to fulfill righteousness, you might as well stop,” wrote one fan.

“Stop the kneeling. It doesn’t help anything [or] anyone. We need concrete action,” wrote another.

“Respect to him. Taking a knee isn’t going to change anything and it undermines the whole thing,” read another response.

Ahead of kick-off, Zaha had released a statement to reiterate the thinking behind the step.

“There is no right or wrong but I feel kneeling just became a part of pre-match routine and at the moment, it doesn’t matter whether we kneel or stand. Some of us still continue to receive abuse,” he said.

“I know there is a lot of work being done behind the scenes at the Premier League and other authorities to make change, and I fully respect that, and everyone involved. I also fully respect my teammates and players at other clubs who continue to take the knee.

“As a society, I feel we should be encouraging better education in schools…and social media companies should be taking stronger action against people who abuse others – not just footballers – online. I now want to focus on football and enjoy playing.

“I will continue to stand tall.”

Zaha is far from the only football figure to question the gesture. Players at second-tier Championship clubs Queens Park Rangers, Brentford, Bournemouth and Derby County are among those not to drop to one knee before games.

Speaking to RT Sport in February, former Liverpool and England icon John Barnes said the gesture was ultimately just a token and could not change “systemic racism.”
Also on rt.com ‘Taking the knee can’t change systemic racism’: Ex-footballer John Barnes supports players deciding not to kneel (VIDEO)
“Taking the knee highlights the problem, and it’s been highlighting the problems since the George Floyd situation. That’s all,” Barnes said.

“…So if people feel that all they can do is highlight it, then take a knee. But if they feel they want to do more and taking a knee is a token gesture – and in many respects it is just a token gesture – if they decide not to do it because they want to do something else, I’m fine [with that].

“I wouldn’t be taking a knee. However, I don’t say that people shouldn’t be taking a knee. But taking a knee does nothing apart from highlight the problem.”

Manchester United have Bruno Fernandes problem that was clear in Crystal Palace draw

Man Utd: Solskjaer delivers Pogba fitness update

“They are missing Paul Pogba, without a shadow of a doubt. Me and Coley [Andy Cole] both said it,” said Clinton Morrison, who hit the nail on the head in the Sky Sports studio at half-time. “Bruno Fernandes is the main man but when it’s not going right for him, this is where you need Paul Pogba and he usually always steps up to the mark so they are missing him.”
The Frenchman’s prowess was sorely missed at Selhurst Park and you cannot help but feel United are starting to look flat without Pogba parading the middle of the pitch.

After all, it was his injection of quality and rise to the fore that saw United considered as genuine Premier League title contenders at the turn of the year.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appeared to have unlocked the superstar who had threatened to full off the map at Old Trafford and now United had two world players capable of winning matches on their own, in their side.

Pogba’s absence now feeds into a wider problem, one that was glaringly obvious in tonight’s 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace, that Fernandes cannot do it all on his own. That’s been the case for a while.

JUST IN: Manchester United can finally make amends for undisclosed Pedro Neto transfer blunder

Manchester United’s over-reliance on Bruno Fernandes is now a worry (Image: GETTY)

This was a nothing performance from the Portuguese talisman, who was playing his 40th match of the club season and looked leggy.

It begged the question of whether it was necessary to start him in last week’s Europa League last 32 second leg with Real Sociedad, with United already 4-0 to the good.

When Fernandes is not on song, United look like an entirely different team. It’s a scary and quite frankly worrying reality check of where they may have been without him.

As this season’s Premier League top scorers, it’s fair to say that United are the division’s entertainers but tonight’s showing in south London was enough to send you to sleep.

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes could have perfect new partner in crime next season
Man Utd have perfect transfer solution in Raphinha and Bruno Fernandes comments show why
Manchester United can finally make amends for undisclosed Pedro Neto transfer blunder

“They’re so bad,” Gary Neville said during commentary in the second half. “Some of them can’t control the ball.”

Fernandes had tried though, with plenty of swings of his right boot. In the first half, no player gave the ball away more than him (11 times).

There was no urgency to United’s play and if they were to score, it was only ever likely to come from a set-piece, once again delivered by Fernandes.

United need goals and they need goals from the wide areas. It’s time Marcus Rashford is held accountable. He does not win enough games for Solskjaer and is supposed to be one of their main men. His lack of cutting edge is why he won’t start for England at the European Championships this summer.

Mason Greenwood has flattered to deceive too following a stunning breakthrough campaign last season, that saw him net 17 goals in all competitions.

He has managed just one in the Premier League this time around, while Anthony Martial has had similar troubles.

Seasoned veteran Edinson Cavani was feeding entirely off scraps but worked his socks off nonetheless.

This was a far cry from the service he received during his time at the Parc des Princes, where he gunned in 200 Ligue 1 goals during his time at the club.

In midfield, the likes of Fred and Nemanja Matic were solely deployed to provide stability, allowing the attacking players to do the damage going forward.

Yet when Pogba’s on duty, he has the ability to influence the game from deep.

Manchester United never looked like scoring vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United never looked like scoring vs Crystal Palace (Image: GETTY)

“United haven’t had one midfielder attempt to break the lines,” added Neville, who was almost disgusted with the lack of innovation from United.

This game passed a large number of their players by, as they stop and stared at Fernandes and waited for something to happen.

It’s been a similar story in other matches this season, including Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Chelsea.

The same applies to draws with Arsenal and Liverpool and the embarrassing 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United.

Fernandes had little impact in either of those outings and ultimately it means, United’s powers wane in front of goal.

You can forgive Solskjaer for wanting to bolster his frontline this summer with Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho among those who would rip up the script and make mockery of United’s toothless attack against Palace.
